I think the mtx are more important than the players' problems...

1+ I dont wanna waste my time leaving my maps just to trade ppl. The fact that this game doesn't have AH is laughable. Many 2d games at least has some sort of AH/trading system. This game not having one is a lazy excuse. Even the stash system and item clutter are tedious.

but i am up for automated trading.

buyer finds item

both online? buyer can just buy out the item using an interface.

seller does not need to leave map.

important part is seller is not required to confirm/accept the transaction to prevent all those silly market manipulators who list items at a low price with no intention of selling

there is two positice arguments for automated trade for consumables: ggg would have to hard cap the amount of currency a individual player can posess as well as limit the financial power of groups of powerful players.

and they would have to register players by credit card to prevent multiple accounts.

don't you think players would quit in troves if it takes powerful players some seconds to empty the market of items which can be exploited?

or if you misplace a powerful item and it's gone for a chaos?

and why the hate of fake sellers? because they prevent automatisation?

You all do not want a AH.

Everyone complaining about the lack of an AH will start to whine about not getting any drops in maps anymore when a AH gets added.

The market will get flooded with stuff, especially non wearable things like currency and fragments.


I have roughly 2000 scarabs and 1000 fossiles in my stash. Im just to lazy to trade them because selling stacked decks is enough to sustain simulacrum farming.

Now think about how many players have that in their stash and what would happen if it all gets released on the market because you can do it without any effort?

Everything would be worthless, everything you find on the ground will be worthless.

They would need to decrease the drop rates of everything to balance it out.

So in the end if you want an AH you also have to live with stuff like mirror tier rarity of exalted drops ect. and I bet most people that cry for an AH do not want that.

It doesnt stop with "people will sell everything and theirfor flood the market" People will also farm a lot more with an AH because you would have almost zero downtime between map runs. Right now buying scarabs, chisels, sextands and maps (if you do not sustain) to set up a farming session takes time. With an AH you would need seconds to buy 50 of everything instead of half an hour. This means people will farm more and theirfore find more stuff which in the end would devalue drops even more. So they would have to reduce the drop rates even further to adjust for it. Have fun with finding a chaos orb every fifth map...

There desperately needs to be some kind of escrow that removes the seller from the equation. 30+ fucking times in a row I messaged people for one item and got no response. If you can't do an AH, at least let me flag them on POE TRADE to never show up in my search feed again as non responders.
