I support the idea of an auction house only for bulk items, without offline BS stuff . Player should still be online for bulk items to get listed.
Any rare items sould use the normal trading system in my opinion. QoL upgrades here so you can search/whisper via ingame UI instead in a seperate browser would be a welcome improvement Last edited by 1869Flame#0897 on Jul 25, 2022, 3:23:50 PM

You are pointing out two extreme opposites here and others have long since suggested a middle. If I dm 50 people for X, then try to get some Y instead and that also leads to nothing, I'm literally closing the application. Instant gratification doesn't exist in this genre, the psyche of achievemt leads to an increased chase and curiosity of what new boundaries can be pushed. A middle would negate the issues with manipulating the API on trade sites, completely remove the frustration of trying to engage with other traders, that have no real intention of selling the items listed, and promote the lust for exploring more. It's a counterintuitive claim in a game that offers endless grind. I'm not tapping out because I got the boots needed to complete a build, I'm off to show boat it, push it to the limit and then grow an appetite for what a new class may achieve. I went ahead and signed that petition. I really hope more content creator's talk about this and get more eyes on this.
I watched KobeBlackMamba video also and I know the op has it on the first page but I'll still link it here also as ggg needs to watch this and Chris should reconsider his logic behind the way current trade works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jG_GqC_Zlds&t=2s This is far and away the worst aspect of this game. If it wasn't for some of the rng involved with finding certain late game fragments I would consider ssf more. But I want to get to the content faster as do a lot of players. The problem is constantly whispering and buying certain bulk items is a absolute hassle as sometimes their not even listed on path of trading so you then have to go on one of the discord servers and hope you can buy on there. That's just the tip of the iceberg as their is the whole pausing any content you were doing in the game to go back to your hideout and more buttons to click, etc. It sucks, plain and simple. This ruins the game. There's many times when after a trade I want to exit out and do something else as the whole experience takes me out of the game and wanting to play more. ggg needs to find a way to streamline and make the experience smoother. Whether it's a auction house or not. I think most will agree the current system that is in place needs to be overhauled. In the manifesto I'm gonna hit back on this idea as well that a auction house or having a faster way to buy items would de-value them. This logic ggg makes zero sense I'm sorry. It's the rarity and drop rate of a item that make it more valuable. As long as they don't change the drop rate of mirrors or apothecary's I don't see their prices plummeting in a auction house. Really hope ggg does something with this. Love the game like everybody but this is a pretty sore spot for me when it comes to playing it more or not. |

" what support, i watched the blackmamba guy talking until he criticised chris for saying that "getting items from trade too easily is devalueing them" and his example is that buying a mageblood is not making that item any worse. i stopped there cause if he continues like this i can't take him serious. i'm not in danger this night cause the chance of a asteroid hitting me is very low.... age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
