Midway through acts I was wondering how the new rares felt with league mechanics. So I went back to standard and played my characters from Archnemesis league and prior. They were capable of all levels of content before the patch. T16 map rares were still doable, but stacking any league modifiers on them made them ridiculously strong.

Blight was impossible, essences and metamorphs were pinnacle boss strong or stronger, legions, heist, and rituals felt awful. I was getting wrecked by packs of blue monsters at delve depth 300 on a character that had easily pushed 600 and farmed all content.

So... was this day 1 or...?? Still? Cause if its still its sounding like a g.g. issue.

You claim "standard characters played in archnemesis", once could, but now cant do:

1: Blight
2: Essences
3: Metamorph
4: Legions
5: Heist
6: Ritual
7: Delve
8: T16 Map rares ??? lol?

And because of this, AN is essentially busted in your mind.

This is a lot of content that you are struggling with, may as well just be all of it if we are being honest with ourselves.

Which builds were the "ones that used to but cant anymore in archnemesis". Really would like to figure more of this out.

Currently in sentinel you are using a broken skill (Witch DD 60% more damage than it should have, and arguably the most op location on the skill tree) that made it's way through the SSFHC ladder all through content in week one/two. So its definitely a build issue that keeps coming up with you it seems.

Would like to see your archnemesis builds or which characters they were thanks!

so you want a Diablo 3 kind of game? where player power is easily achieved and the game is trivialized?
and that without any meta changes maybe too?
so you can play your most favourite op build over multiple leagues?
sry, but for my understanding you're not playing the right game then

PoE was never similar to D3 in regards to achieving player power. I'm a very casual player, I only play SSF, and I only play the same physical zombes/skellies build, because that's what I like. I never got to Shaper/Elder fights (not just uber, even the normal ones), I only tried Sirus once, but haven't managed to kill him, tried a Heist/Delve boss, but couldn't kill them as well. I don't even fully know the endgame changes because I don't engage with that content. But I still had fun in the game. I don't play every league, the last one I played was Expedition. I read that there were a lot of nerfs to player power and buffs to mobs in that league, but I got to my highest ever level in 3.15 - 95 - and had tons of fun. This league I die more using Determination than I did back then using Pride. And it's harder and more annoying to engage with content like Blight/Metamorph etc. And dealing with some buffed blue/yellow mobs that take ages to kill, while trying to not die myself, while they don't drop appropriate loot for the effort required, is not fun.

Saying I'm not playing the right game is rude and offensive. I can play whatever game I like. But yeah, ARPGs are not my favorite genre, I prefer MMOs and survival games. Currently I'm playing Cookie Clicker :)

I also don't understand why a league launch has to be a mess. I'd prefer that we'd get a season every 4 months instead of 3, but that it would be thoroughly tested and balanced before release. But I guess people coming back to play every 3 months instead of 4 means more money flowing in. I also don't understand why the AN mod addition to the base game, which is a huge change, was only casually mentioned during the reveal, it seems they didn't understand that this is a huge deal.

I completely agree with removing archnem mods. It adds a ton of unfun mechanics. It hurts the lore because any monster can have any ability.
please remove archnemesis completely from the game

Day one, and I said T16 rares on alch and go were mostly fine for a geared character. An example would be Xylophonemancy. (Oh no, another meta league starter)

The league content just felt rough, as in unpolished, mobs varied from weak but tanky to nearly unkillable nightmares. magic monsters at 300 individually had more health than rares at 600 did last league.

And because of the number of them, without permanent phasing you could get stuck in a pack that was slow to clear and get dinged by toxic or other 1-off AN mods. Because there were like 40 monsters on screen each with their own mod.

Mobs becoming immune to towers in blight, mods not playing nicely with other scaling mechanics. I could still walk through pinnacle boss content no issue, but random basic map league stuff felt rippy.

I know I picked an easy starter for Sentinel, it was also one I never played before. I picked it because I was focusing on clearing content quickly and acquiring currency for a second build. Which didn't happen because I felt like the balance for past league content was lazily done. And I wasn't a fan of the atlar/eldritch currency/scarab rework so I decided to take the league off after finishing my atlas.

Forgive me if I don't automatically trust build advice from someone who seems to have a chip on their shoulder and appears to only have experience with bows skills.

I have taken every ascendancy to endgame. I got no problem adapting to change. I didn't stop playing because it was "too hard". The mechanics and rewards just didn't feel anywhere near as good as 3.17, so rather than forcing myself to play I took a break.

Day one,

So you’re voicing feedback yesterday on stuff that was fixed and nerfed to the ground over 2 weeks ago. Ok got it.

Sentinel mechanic+existing mechanics is way ahead of anything 3.17 had for rewards it’s not even close. You can make a killing in white maps with just sentinel+alch and go alone and make more than anything 3.17 had to offer. You had to collect and wait for specific combinations in 3.17 to get anything good.

Not to mention some atlas notable additions that made invitations just insane. Full maven writs dropping + extra splinters like lol…

Not sure what you mean. First it was the mobs/mods, which have been nerfed, so not sure why we are living in the past but ok. And now it’s the rewards compared to 3.17.

😒

Mash the clean
Based on this feedback forum, it seems that the vast majority of PoE players have voiced the same complaints about AN mods. Chickenwink seems to think everyone except him is dirt stupid and don't like AN mods because they don't know how to build a PoE character. It is beyond ridiculous, just ignore the nonsense.
