Please remove Archnem mods.
The problem I'm having with AN is that there seems to be 2x as many mods that kill you if you don't stop attacking and move.
Combine that with the screen clutter and it makes playing melee builds a nightmare. GGG needs to design better monster mods with melee/ranged in mind. It seems they want to kill the ranged player so badly with huge damage homing mods that they forget that the melee player needs to eat all the huge spell dmg and degen in order to deal damage. And fortify doesn't reduce damage over time :D I don't even know if stormstrider shock explosion even counts as a hit? If it doesn't, fortify is useless against it. Removing AN mods would make the game more fun. I'd return to playing the game if GGG did that.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

This is simply beyond stupid. I dont feel no challenge at all i only feel massively annoyed and the game doesnt feel like fun but more and more like work. Nothing i want to do after already working 10 hours or more.
Already in AN league i hated some stuff like toxic, but at least i could choose not to do it or when i choose it i new when to expect it and i could prepare. But now i kill like 100 mobs and when i go right, there are some white dots on the ground and when i go right, the floor is burning and when i go forward there is concegrated ground and 5 green toxic blobs are following me and also 4 lightning guys and im almost dying just by trying to loot. its just stupid and boring to stay and wait because my loot is under my delirium ground and my seismic trap and blue exploding crystals and while i try to dodge i got trapped by an ice barrier, just pick up an chaos thats laying within 200 corpses. This is no fun at all and still overtuned. Its easier to kill kosis, than to pick up stuff, because i have to take 3 sips of my healing potion just to not die even seconds after everything else is dead. Ya, i like some challenge and ya, some of that may be fun but not all together everytime. Weaker character die just by dashing through it. I use pantheons on burning ground maps and for reduced chill and i got potions for remove poison and i got leech and i use potions. Im 100% avoidance to freeze, shock and ignite, got more than 100% res everywhere and still i die if i not react instantly by taking 3 potions one after the other just i walked on something that was hidden under something that was covered by something, whil trying to run away from something. Cmon....really guys? Last edited by flipmode949#6802 on Jun 30, 2022, 2:00:10 PM

AN mods are one the worst idea GGG ever had. the only purpose they serve is to annoy and frustrate players. like the poison ball that follows you around or the ice prison thing that traps you and if you dont dash out fast enough something kills you

So glad GGG is ignoring this thread. So many players being exposed about their actual skill level.

" These ones are actually ok. The problem are the ones that are harder to see and the frequency of these kinds of mods. |

+1. Presumably the next expansion will roll around in about a month hence? Here's hoping for good news about rebalancing, if not outright removing, Archnemesis mods.

" For RNG's sake, get off your high... chicken, already :) Those people came here not to prove their "skill" to anyone, nor should they. Not everyone is lacking self-actualization so badly to name playing a game among their achievements. You disagree, fine, but playing tough guy on the basis of you only playing builds not bothered by AN mobs is not really related to "skill", because majority of those builds were unlikely to be developed and tested solery by yourself, as well as crafting techniques. People playing by PoB have all their starter, mapper and bossing builds layed out in details since lvl 1, of course they are not bothered by things like exp death penalty, and don't misuse a single bit of currency. Only thing left to do to is to follow the line. Skill you refer to is remembering the way of fitting more total stat bonuses into provided amount of gear slots and passive points. That's it. Such activity is closer to cheating, by definition, and those you tend to laugh at are the only ones trying to play fair and progress on their own. |

I honestly don't know all the Archnem mods but if those green orbs that follow around is one of them I'll just say from my experience those area really annoying. I liked playing blight but the problem was it got to a point where there was so much going on the screen I felt like I had to practically strain my eyes to tell if I was on any kind of degen. Sometimes it could seem impossible to even see those things following you around. With blight you have to pause briefly to activate your towers and on more then one occasion I would get knocked out by one of those green orbs. I don't know if this is even a archnem problem or just a POE problem with far too much happening at once on your screen that when you die it has zero to do with skill and more with strait up luck and and roll of the dice. Itleast that's how I felt. Either way yeah it felt crummy and sometimes unavoidable to me. So here's hoping GGG is listening and continues to make changes. Not sure they need to be deleted it but more tuning definitely needs to continue.

" You shouldn't try straining like that in the first place. With experience, you will realize that trying to make out details on screen is pointless. All you have to do is never stop moving, and whatever crap flying at you will miss. This game is about doll dressing, not combat. Your stats are what wins the content, not your manual tactics. As for towers, you should only use them while behind cover/wall. If npc was out of range after order was issued, it will still be executed after you run past tower later. If there is no cover, move closer to tower first, so you could resume running sooner after clicking on it (if playing with a mouse) |
