Maven's Invitation: The Elderslayers and boss killing at all

I do not argue that there are talented players in the development staff who were able to one-shot each boss separately with a meta skill. But have you tried fighting them all at once? It's a league of frustration in terms of bosskilling. The new bosses are either too easy (Eater of Worlds and Endless Hunger) or simply require the player to play Undertale where you just have to dodge random objects that fly at you. Black Star is a very good boss, no complaints. And about specifically the Invitation, then this is nonsense. The arena is round, and Baran tiles occupy more than 60% of the arena always, ALWAYS, and sometimes all 80%. And they not only deal damage, but also degen mana. And Veritania covers the rest of the arena with ice. Cool? Al-Hezmin is extremely unpleasant even with 75% chaos resistance, and also his snakes are endless. Drox runs nearby, who simply loves to put Banners that there is no time to kill, because there are 10% of free space left in the arena and all the snakes, Veritania's spears, Baran's blasts and of course the Maven bombs are concentrated there. I'm telling you this because you didn't seem to be at this invitation yourself. There is nothing difficult about defeating these bosses when they at least allow you to approach them, you just need to have such an opportunity. And yes, you can tell interesting stories for a very long time about the fact that the game is about what you need to farm on the yellow cards for a week in order to become strong and only then move on to more complex content. But why then complicate act 1-2? What could be farmed and become stronger in Act Zero? You're trying to position yourself as a hardcore game, so be hardcore in a good way. I am happy to win difficult boss fights. I'm not at all happy when you can't win a boss fight with skill just because you didn't kill the boss faster than he killed you. Is that why you cut the damage of the support gems? What kind of powercreep are we talking about if the damage increases not for the players, but for the mobs and only for them. Check the stats, after which league there are more one-shots? And not because the player got on "too difficult content". "...we don't like that players have so much damage..." "...nerf support gems will allow us to create interesting bosses with interesting stages and focus on cinematic..." As a result, the bosses have 2-3 attacks taken from the old bosses (Phoenix, Elder, Sirus, Maven) and only Black Star stands out with at least some originality. And yes, I suspect that the players and the developers will not read this, giggle at what a "noob" I am and will live on. After all, I'm not a streamer, not a blogger, and generally not a media personality. Nobody needs my opinion. This forum is like an icon in the church, just a place where you can speak out. Relax and keep playing. So you understand, I really want to play now, but I was so angry about this situation with the Invitation that I have been writing this for 20 minutes. Just make the game playable, challenging but PASSABLE. p.s. The fact the conquerors still have their arena hazards immediately disinterests me from doing it beyond completion unless I have an immense amount of DPS to kill one of them almost immediately. Elder guardians are less painful by comparison.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. |

their obsession with ground effects started with shaper and hasn't ceased since then. Every endgame boss fight is a platforming challenge.

" Yes, but at least in Feared Invitation the Shaper doesn't force the player to stand in the center of the arena under Zana's protection, Elder doesn't deal damage outside circle at the stage with a "safe circle", and Cortex along with Atziri gives time to change position and avoid damage. Strong agree on this.
Need to limit the combinations of abilities dropped. Sometimes it's impossible to re-enter the fight because there's nowhere safe you can get to. |

This kept going on for far to long! They increased Boss HP multiple times, nerfed the Flasks+Effect+Generation way to much, implemented "Defense Options" in the tree, that give way to little Defense for the Points spent, and they constantly implement new IDIOTIC ground effects. Is it a challange to stand there 5 Seconds untill I am able to pick up the Chaos Orb? Is this Chris Wilsons Vision for a Challenging game? Its just a tedious annoyance that pisses off players. They nerf all sorts of Skills/Mechanics and slowly bringing it back to where it was before, but they constantly forget about their "plans" on creating exciting encounters. ALSO!: If you turn down playerdamage, do some proper testing and check if Endgameboss degens all over the place are adequately toned down. If you cut dps in half, you have to think about how much more Degen or other Nonsense fills up the arena! Another infuriating thing is randomly Guardian bosses are influenced by a Tormented Spirit. Funny how a Elder Guardian suddenly oneshots me with 100% Spell Suppression with 1 single tick of a Channel! (Lightning Guardian I think its name is Constrictor) |

Very good post, I can't agree more that the amount of things you need to watch out for in this game is too high of a number and guess what they all hide behind each other, not to forget to mention skill effects without mtx also not helping you able to see such killable effects, etc.

" Of course not. It seems that "Feedback and Suggestions" is like a church, people need to come to complain and ask the Lord for conveniences and removal of inconveniences.
