Maven's Invitation: The Elderslayers and boss killing at all

Boss fights since Uber Elder have been a complete joke anyways, you can almost always bet your money on new bosses/fights being total ass.

There are still plenty of ways to get good DPS on the cheap it isn't that expensive but you can't play literally anything and still achieve that, some skills are expensive AF to make even passably usable *cough* infernal blow *cough*

Here is my POB config with flasks off, only relying on reliable sources like frenzy charge on marked enemies, and flasks with charges on crit that makes my onslaught flasks uptime decent.

Look here, without Dying Sun and Bottled Faith I'm still getting 1 mil at least. And the fact that you said you did not put words in my mouth is also a lie since I have never ever said that my build is good enough to burst down the invitations in any way. Now where's yours?

Also the fact that you're even defending reflect mods is hilarious at best. People hate it because it literally adds nothing other than bricking your map or making people slap on Sybils and Yugul soul. Forcing others to reroll their map isn't a challenge bro lmao.

Hate to butt in here but you only have over a million at Point Blank range. With 76% evasion when Vaal Grace is off, that's fine for a conqueror fight if you can burst him/her down but terrible for an invite since your damage depends on you being in the guy's face to get it. To make things worse, you are manually casting Sniper's Mark for some reason (which makes the invite much worse) when you are playing Arcanist Brand. You have faster cast everywhere when Arcanist brand really wants quality (because that improves activation rate).

You are doing the right things with Determination, Grace, and Defiance Banner but for some reason, you don't bolster that with Jade and Granite Flasks and corresponding suffixes. Since you already have a mode of getting Onslaught, I would honestly dump the Silver and Amethyst flasks for the Jade and Granites.

You are way over on certain elemental resistances, which means you can afford to cut back on that to fix other things. Your boots really only need the fire res as it stands, so a pair that also has some chaos and spell suppression can be a huge improvement. If they come with lightning or cold instead, just flip it to fire with Harvest.

Awakened Lightning Pen is 5c right now. You should really get that.

Do you need that Sublime Form's mana efficiency? Because it's costing you SIX points to get it and you don't have resistance problems without it. If you have mana issues without it, I'd replace the ring craft with -7 mana cost. Even get a 2nd ring where you can do that too.

You also have 2 each of the 30 str / 30 int nodes for some reason. Assuming you don't want to get 30 int on gear somewhere, getting out of the other 3 nodes and the 6 from sublime form means you can hop over to Iron Reflexes and Golem's Blood (cloth and chain is nice too if you want to fiddle with your gear some). That would also allow you to slap a Molten Shell on left click for a 10k buffer.

These are not 10 mirror upgrades and making these changes would significantly improve how your build performs. Having tons of currency does not mean knowing how and where to spend it properly. I've seen a ton of builds that have expensive gear that still suck. A small bit of know-how on how to tune a build for cheap goes a long way.

- not having a level 100 is irrelevant. okay, but having one character only ever gotten to 93 is not. thing is, you never witnessed how powerful and important those levels are. (this is funny, because this is basically the same situation with the elder invitations, which you did not ever try yourself, and yet you keep acting like you know what you're talking about. quite ironic)

- oh the good old "i have a job, family, certain diseases/ malfunctions, therefore i can only play 5 minutes a league" talk... all i wanna say to that is, if my playtime is vastly higher than yours, then most likely, my experience and knowledge is higher too... but you keep trying to fight for your opinion that isnt even yours, because you have no foundation to base that on, since you havent even fought an elderslayer or anything alike in three leagues. but this is about the elderslayers in particular, so yea...

Last thing, no matter what you say, if you can't even show us your POB configs of that character, your gameplay vids in doing those invitations easily, your arguments have 0 points and should simply be considered as contrarian talk or trolling.

Thanks for the tips but honestly, the mark and hydrosphere config could easily been fixed if I had chose to use Asenath's Chant instead, but I don't like it that it's on an ES base. Manually casting Mark is perfectly fine to me imo since they are now permanent but I can see where you're coming from when against multiple bosses. And I didn't realize that Awakened Gems could become so cheap now, always assumed that they will be out of my budget when I first started gearing the character, thats nice I guess.

Also my ele res is also fine right now, since I can run ele weakness maps and still cap it but yeah, I understand that it could be fine tuned even more.

Also my stats problem can also easily be fixed if I have just chose to use Omniscience but I didn't had that in my mind when I made this build and is too lazy to respec for it.

Point Blank dps makes sense since you will actually have to be rather close to the bosses all the time because of barrage spread. And it's still a positive damage gain as long the bosses are on-screen.

I needed Sublime's Form because without it after 2 flame dash and a mirror arrow in a sticky situation actually drains all my mana, I'm not too sure if flat mana cost reduction on rings will help it that much. There's also the issue of mana leech stopping too early as well.

At the end of the day I doubt that even with the changes I will be able to do the invitations. And I have been playing Elden Ring nowadays lol so forget about getting this character to 95 let alone 100

Honestly, I'm not even bragging or anything. From my first posts in this thread I'm just been saying that DPS does not mean that much since uptime is an issue in a fight where you're required to burst things down and dodge a lot in the same time. Then that Cubic guy has to flex his POB warrior stuff which he won't even show us the configs and gear he's been using.

The minus mana cost on rings is much stronger than you might assume. If you get 2 of them, your cost cuts significantly and your flame dash and whatnot will be close to free. I encourage you to try it, it is significantly better.

The reason I put my mark on the arcanist brand is that in the heat of a fight, I can roughly plop a brand somewhere in sorta near a boss and it will latch on by itself. I can also drop it on the ground before a boss comes out. Basically, there isn't really a downside to having it in the brand because the brand doesn't even make the mark weaker (and marks can't gain doom, so no advantage to casting it). Additionally, marks are expensive to cast at max level. The weird thing about arcanist brand is, if you keep the brand at L1, the mana cost stays at almost nothing (nothing when you put the minus mana on rings) no matter what you have attached to it. There's also no downside to L1 because the only thing a higher level does is boost damage, which your utility doesn't do.

This is superior to Asenath's Chant because triggering those things costs lots of mana.

Yeah I found that these dudes have to be dealt with with large amounts of DPS, since all of them have large scale area denial that will overlap if they're all up at the same time.

I'm just glad we don't get veritania's circling storm thing that's in her normal fight. Imagine a smaller and smaller safe area the more damage she takes, on top of drox banners, baran lightning ground, and turreting snakes.


The breachlord invite is very similar to this one: if all four are up at the same time and not VERY quickly dealt with, you will die.

So, thing is
IF you play other games, and dedicate your time elsewhere, it is upon you, to accept that. Yes Poe is a grindy game, highly repetetive to some extent.
BUT Poe never handed out participation trophies, either you go down the whole road to lets say 40/40 or you dont.
Some of the former challenges required certain conditions on boss kills or whatever, some challenges were fairly RNG gated. and if you didnt get blessed by rng, you simply didnt get those done.
Or like for me in harvest, if you stop playing because the game gets trivial, and you dont feel like grinding, because your character is too powerful in early stages, those EGGs simply dont become a thing, because, why would it, it's trivial.

as you can see, i enjoy the league, i accomplished pretty much double of what the typical complainer did. but this is a given, since i am playing the game instead of complaining on the forums and/ or reddit.

in all fairness, those points were nowhere near usefulness, or even close to appropriate.
