The new OP jewel
" It doesn't require the specific Ascendancy. They are locked by your core class. You can get a Necromancer Ascend on an Occultist. For example, something that will be considered seriously OP is an Occultist with Bone Barrier, or an Elementalist with Minion Mastery, or an Elementalist with Withering Presence. All three of those combinations are possible, and close serious gaps in builds that otherwise create serious weaknesses in the core class- Occultist doesn't have a built in benefit from a Guard skill, immune to bleed, and on a SRS or Skele Detonation build, it adds yet more ES sustainability. Elementalists' primary weakness is Chaos resistance accommodations, because generally it doesn't pair well with CI, and if you can find ways to Hinder, Withering Presence becomes really strong. Elementalist can also +2 their golems with this. You could also be a Necromancer with a Golem Mastery Ascend, and auto resurrect your golems, with a Reaper. (and add 1 more golem to your max; way to go Necro + 5 Carrion Golems) You can create an Inquisitor with Sanctuary of Thought for better Mana Efficiency, or Conviction of Power for instant 8 Charges. (Sanctuary of Thought is purely Monstrous for an Energy Blade build, because it adds 20% of total Mana as Extra ES, which is explicitly powerful on an Inquisitor, because of the fact you don't have to use a Staff with Inquisitor's version of Battlemage). Bastion of Hope also creates interesting Heirophant and Inquisitor Synergies. I do not know how these jewels are going to work on a Scion, but the impact could be tremendous, and the core reason for this jewel! If you can get one of Ascendant's Class nodes, that's going to increase her from 2 classes to three. Literally a 50% increase in opportunity. Trickster + Saboteur + Berserker could create some really nasty Ascendants, for example. |

Any of the OP ones will be 1 mirror+ and pricefixed into oblivion. Not even worth chasing unless the supply is really high somehow. The money spent on the jewels would be better spent upgrading your gear elsewhere.
I would love it if the drop rate is set so that the best ones settle under a 100ex price point by end of league. |

Its good but hard to acquire so basically its power creep but for where they always didn't care about it (at the top)
I get the jokes about power creep and why would they do this but the tops already filled with 50m+ dps builds does it matter? At least it isn't a 1c vendor. |

" It probably depends on how fast and successfully you kill new bosses tbh. Keep in mind this is Boss content, not Global, so theoretically killing them 40 times.... you might get 2 of the same Ascend passive. There's only what? 10 per Ascend class? So not including Scion, 180? + 18 for Scion, for a total of 198. Power farmers in SSF could do it. It's probably got a pretty high drop rate in SSF too. |

" Nah. They'll be around the drop rate of 1/3 from the bosses and once people start farming and trading there will be hundreds of every possible jewel set. It'll be like a Maven Orb price or something. |

" Considering that every single Ascendancy has players, and all ascends are generally top tier of some sort, I doubt it. There will probably be a 4:1 difference between good ones and bad ones, and the good ones will probably be priced initially like an Awakened Multistrike. The cheap ones will be 2-3 ex. |

" If I ever get an end gamer going and dedicate to the league, I'm totally looking for ways to turn Frost Bomb into a 30 mil dps skill by taking Occultist and getting one of the two relevant Elementalist Exposure Ascends to go with it. I also want to see what a non Inquisitor Energy Blade is like with Battlemage on a 1H and a shield. I could totally see a Vengeance Build around Energy Blade based off 10k + ES + something like Spectral Helix - boosted by the fact you can get can get Ascends that boost your ES with Mana. The change also makes Volatile Dead an interesting build, by actually allowing a witch that isn't a pidgeonholed Necromancer, to use Corpse Pact with a Poet's Pen build. I mean... if your goal is to get that 200% Increased Attack Speed, why would you want to be a Necromancer, whose three other ascend branches are actually about Minions, not Corpses? (Offerings are more about Minions than yourself, but that's another story). Elementalist Volatile Dead? or Occultist? Either works for me. |

As for the Scion, this was in the Q&A at the 44:30 mark:

" Nah, the problem is that even a shitty one will be insanely strong for every class. In terms of endgame characters it really is a must have for every build, no matter what. Uploaded an awesome Exsanguinate Freeze Explosion build on the forums - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3508506
