Two jewel slots mean a lot of opportunity cost. Even filling them with couple of your 10c rare jewels means 14% increased life or ES and other goodies, like 10% increased cast or attack speed, 20% increased damage or mana....there's quite a lot of power in those already.

Two jewel slots are trivial for people who use cluster jewels.

That does not matter. It's not about getting those slots, it's about alternatives how to fill them.

Indeed. Another cool build enabling thing that may as well not exist.

If the Ascendant gets one for each sub-notable for the mini ascendencies, there will be 147 versions, if she also gets the "Path of the X" notables (less likely because they grant skill points and allow allocating them in a different place which would be a pain to remove them from the sockets afterwards), there will be 153.

I would absolutely not be surprised if the top ones went into the price range of a mirror, but you also have to consider that the 1/147 or 1/153 chance to get a certain notable is actually much higher than the chance to get a super rare combination on a Watcher's Eye because those small chances roll independently rather than on the same item.

The worst ones might be available for less than an exalt (basically the nodes that people do not pick even if they have access to them) with budget ones probably being in the 2-10 ex range.

Chase ones like Profane Bloom, Aspect of Carnage, Gathering Winds etc. will be significantly more expensive. But any that are not among those meta chase options might actually turn out to be somewhat affordable.

As for people mentioning that the cost of jewel slots is insignificant, it is not. There will never be the case where not allocating the jewel sockets is more efficient than allocating the jewel sockets, but that does not mean that a bad ascendency notable that you can afford on a "small" budget will be better than the same budget spent on rare jewels.

For nodes like Aspect of Carnage, two rare jewels will not compete. However, most people will not be able to afford those top end ones and thus will not get a 40% more damage benefit from the two sockets.

Dang my Necromancer would love Vile Bastion or Liege of Primordial set.
But for my the coolest one by far is if Scion can get ones for the "Path of X" nodes as being able to build from 2 extra starting points would be hella fun.

You require two "very rare" jewels from end game bosses. 50 ex will be on the cheap end. The good ones will be multiple mirrors.

I'm still holding a tiny bit of hope that it'll be like watcher's eyes, where the garbage ones are a few ex, the good ones 20-50, and OP ones 100+. But I'm not holding my breath.

Garbage ones will be a few ex, you can get a good amount of power in 2 jewel slots and there will be ascendancy notables that aren't equivalent of value.

Like if i see the deadeye galeforce one there is no chance i'd use it, i'd be happy to sell it for 10c.

The closest thing to "garbage" will be or classes few people play. If there is a Witch one for under 100 ex for any Ascendency I'll be shocked. Rangers got buffed with boss and will be high. Duelest and Marauder will likely have cheaper versions.
