In 2022, we would have a lot of H&S games. Will PoE survive it?

We have some new H&S in 2022:
-Undecember
-Lost Ark
And last but not least, Last Epoch, which has many good options in the game. Plus with interesting new end-game content.

As for me, Undecember will be very interesting. Gameplay and character development system, very similar to PoE, allowing you to play with hundreds of builds. Added to this will be the AH system, guild instances and raids, and party dungeons. It sounds interesting, because the gameplay gives a lot for solo players, and for people playing with friends something new that I did not expect from H&S. Supposedly, there will also be a world Boss raid and a long-term brawl in multi-hundred instance mode. For me its sounds realy Realy good... As a single player, you can join a fight with a hundred other players, and although you fight together, everyone is playing for themselves, I wonder how they will introduce it and whether it will be in the beta. But if it is in the game, I already feel it will be my favorite.

@edit
Currently, PoE for me is going in the wrong direction and for 2 weeks I have been looking for an alternative. I am currently playing Last Epoch. But I'm waiting for these new games.

Lost Ark will be interesting I think with respect to the PoE playerbase.

PoE tends to have burst participation, highly focused in a couple weeks each quarter. Really about 8 weeks makes or breaks GGG's finances per year. The cant have bad launches, its devastating to them.

LA on the other hand, has a really different retention model. PvP is one of the main components to retention, similar to D2:LoD back in the day. PoE doesn't really have a mechanic that keeps people interested outside their new league (Standard is a wasteland...)

I will be interested to see what's in store for the larger 3.17 PoE expansion, given the lessons(hopefully), from 3.15 & 3.16 which by all accounts, were awful.

LA can't replace PoE for me, i'm gonna play it but there is no chance they'll stuff me in the tumble drier for a spin every 3 months.

That being said GGG could still drive me away too I used to think that unlikely but i'm less sure now than I was, least 3.16 felt better than 3.15 ignoring the league mechanic.

To other ARPGs coming out all i can say is woohoo!!

Perhaps, but looking at the market. Developers who did not listen to the players, sooner or later closed their projects. Maybe this is how it is for you. But I don't know if you will want to play a game that is empty. Especially since the trade looks like the player has to be online.
I hope they don't wake up too late with the changes. Once the game is going extinct. Because you know what it looks like when "a drowning person grabs a razor".

I'm not sure mere "survival" is the endorsement you think it is...

PoE empty? sounds kind of strange x'D
well i've played LA and well nothing even close to PoE even comparing to shitty leagues tbh. seen lost ark and well not gonna lie totally different game than poe as far i've seen. also less fun but ofc this is just my opinion. but it is possible GGG finally fucks things up after like 8 years of being the best. but i think the chances are extremely small comparing it to other games so im not really worried :P and if there is somoething better than poe then i welcome that so either way it's a win win to me

People have been posting stuff like this every year for... what... eight years now?

It must be true this time!

it already is true for me. PoE is no longer a game i want to play anymore, and so i don't. i couldn't care less how successful PoE itself is outside of me playing or not. and why would anyone else care?

people need to stop trying to make it an objective thing. its always subjective.
I get it. Burn out. Bloat. There's dozens of good reasons to be looking for other games. I am too.

But to blame PoE's demise on some other game launching is laughable.
