In 2022, we would have a lot of H&S games. Will PoE survive it?

on console we have barely any good games similar to this.

Diablo 2 & 3 = no thanks and they allow cheating in diablo 3 so there's not even a competitive feeling or anything.

Sure there are some other ARPG's that are all right but they are all single player, no trading or selling or anything that makes games like this more interesting.

I'm pretty bored and wish there was another game on playstation that I'd want to even play but there isn't.

seems like poe cant hold players for long
it has its peak then it gets less and less
its because they dont design content for long term and the game doesnt reward people for days and weeks
also it actually feels like grinding currency instead of grinding items
i dont know what ggg stands for anymore tbh ....

That's only Steam statistics. The Vast majority of PoE players are not Steam players.
@Rekikio with this sample size it is safe to assume that retention rates for steam players and non-steam-players behave the same unless Steam players share a chatacteristic that (with statistical significance) makes them quit earlier than non-steam-players, which I doubt. So these numbers are representative for non-steam, too.

ggg admitted that it's something like 50/50 or 60/40 between steam and standalone, so this graphics are pretty accurate
3.13 Was the best league ever!
3.18 Rest in peace my beloved recombinators, I'm gonna miss you...
People posting on poe forums they dont play the game anymore... yeah right! If you dont like a game go play something else. I simply dont care about subjective opinions. I have my own brain and I think for myself. The moment I would not like the game anymore I will move on to something else and btw I play other games too when I feel I need a break but that does not mean poe is bad.

We don't care about your subjective opinions either.

Steam gives them access to hundreds of games on the same platform in a way that makes it feel like there is one publisher/portal.

That's absolutely an incentive to substitute other games, whereas multi-portal players change their game far less often.

That being said; Path has never had very good over season retention. Nor has any resetting game that plays as an RPG. The fact that Scourge was POE's second largest player spike in POE's entire history tells us: Players are attracted to this game, but are waiting for the right version.
