PoE could have been best game in genre...

...but it is not! Marketing BS ruin everything after day1. My more and more empty friend list confirm this. Shame on you, GGG, shame! Maybe change the to "pay to play" for PoE2.

9.5 years, I have yet to find a replacement for PoE.

Ask someone who plays other games too or try out approved by GGG: Cyberpunk. :) I am trying to keep playing PoE but this year its getting just worse than before /exclude the fact we got QoL changes that we wanted few years ago/.

Last epoch is not even "out" yet and already is better than poe in almost every category. I do agree thoug d2 is the best one still. I for sure have twice or more hours there than here even though that game is old and don't have content.

Please define the metric you're using to gauge "best". Then we might have a discussion.

Your appeal for "Last Epoc" (or whatever it's called) is based on the fact that you haven't played it for almost 10 years like you have PoE. It's new and shiny. That doesn't make it "better" in my book.

You would have a good discussion about PoE vs D2. Lots of good reasons for both. Both have the age factor similarly in place.

But comparing PoE to any of the new games on the block just brings back the last twenty times someone has said that PoE is inferior to games I can't even remember the names of.

Crazy thought, but I don't have a problem playing many games. The best one is the one Im enjoying at the moment.
