Anyone else find this absolutely hilarious?

As i said earlier in this thread, the most useful part of mageblood is not needing to worry about half the stats you need an gear anymore.

Need chill/freeze immunity? 60% reduced effect and an enkindling orb and your immune.

Need resistance? 1 res flask with +res mod and you no longer need res, from any gear at all.

Want corrupted blood and bleed immunity? just roll the mod and you got 'em.

Your choice of what you dont need to care about anymore.

Curse? Shock? Block? The only problem with this belt is it's only 4 choices.

Or...... you could literally corrupt your jewels for Bleeding immunity, and use Purity of Elements for everything else.

Not like Purity of Elements has a 45-60% Chaos Resistance Watcher's Eye mod or anything and now completely voids all ele ailments.

The only real thing anyone uses Mageblood for is Increased Effect + Damage + Attack speed + Armour + Armour % + Move Speed % etc.
Mageblood and the other chase uniques they added are the best (only?) thing of this league/patch as they give u some kind of endgame goal to achieve.

I have a feeling they will nerf the mageblood though. not the belt but the scalling of flask effect... I bet all my savings they will "adjust" it. Probably next league or the after one. We can't have fun things no no.
I would call it a noobtrap but noobs probably wouldn't be able to afford it. I don't even think I'd use it in ssf.

I agree with the sentiment of the thread. I think the flask system is dumb, and instilling orbs were a bit of a bandaid. Mageblood is something I'd want more out of laziness and unwillingness to deal with a system I hate than anything else.

That said, it's a stupidly powerful item which is pretty easy to see if you have any understanding of game mechanics. Stack enkindling orb effects on top of the increased flask effect and reduced flask duration mod, and some flask effect passives, and you basically phys/res/evasion cap a naked character wearing only a belt, with like +300% increased crit chance or +120% move speed or whatever you want, on top of the suffix effects like immunities being permanently applied.

mageblood is not expensive because it bypasses having to press flasks, instilling orbs already do that

its expensive because it grants PERMANENT uptime with NO exceptions
its expensive because it allows you to do this with ENKINDLING ORB flask effect

this is what makes the belt extremely powerful, not having to not press flasks, because that is already trivial to set up for almost no cost at all

Its also one of the rarest item in the game, which makes the prive even higher.
I think Mageblood is a fantastic addition to the game.

More or less the first unique you can really tailor to your build via the flask slots.

Based on years of playing flask piano, I'm trained (read: stuck) with resting my left hand fingers on 1, 2, 3 and 4 (thumb on space bare for movement skill). These days, I autmate my flasks through instilling orbs, which let me allocate utility skills (guard skills, vaal haste, vaal grace etc) on 1, 2, 3 and 4, where my hand rests.

Getting your hands on a Mageblood, so you can use enkindling orbs instead of instilling orbs, letting you have flasks on steroids all the time? Win-win.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

When did Enklinding Orb become so expensive?

you really must be out of your mind to not see the power effect of mageblood.

This is why it costs so much...

Prolly they will add some div cards to get it more easy and drop the price.

I think its worthless

You cant even use Bottled Faith with it
Need more brains, exile?
