Dont worry, Ill sell you both flasks for only 299ex!
Limited offer.
Better call 0800-TY-4-SCAM right now
i've been thinking the same thing. they created a convoluted messy flask system. and now they also created a ultra rare item so players can ignore the messy system. what a joke of game design ideas.

what next? auction house to bypass the messy trade system?

I already got 3 of them, but thanks for offer.
Farming that 300 ex was worth it!
this is an intellectually dishonest or outright stupid thread
mageblood is not expensive because it bypasses having to press flasks, instilling orbs already do that

its expensive because it grants PERMANENT uptime with NO exceptions
its expensive because it allows you to do this with ENKINDLING ORB flask effect

this is what makes the belt extremely powerful, not having to not press flasks, because that is already trivial to set up for almost no cost at all

The cost is in the fact that Mageblood deprives all offensive belt options in exchange for that increased effect.

You can technically make a belt that has 25% Damage/30% Lightning Damage/35% Spell Damage on Flasks, and 30% Elemental Damage (and even Elemental Attack if an attack build), and can do so on a Stygian.

That far exceeds any offensive bonus from the Flasks at increased effect. It doesn't have good Life. damage, or even resists built in, which guides what flasks you'll use.

The most expensive item in poe history,

is a item that makes players NOT having to press their flasks.

Like what does that say about the game core design when people are willing to farm or even rmt $$$ their ass off, just to NOT play a stupid flask piano?

I think it's time to totally redo the flask system.
Having such insane dmg spike that make you go from 90 to 10% life up and down ten times per second while spamming flasks is just bad, and the price of mageblood indirectly reflects this. I don't know but I guess the most builds using it are ci or some with insane regen/leech that don't rely on life flasks, since yea yea it only applies utility flasks.

I would have reworked flasks with something like class thematic racial skills / abilities. A ascendancy type selection of abilities that players get every 10 levels starting from 1.. 10.. 20.. etc. unlocking more modifers as they go.
No extra spam power creep stuff, just situational long cd stuff.
Huge dmg or survivability buffs, speed, rarity and quantity for loot farmers, over the top max cap raiser for skills, a million things you can do with this.

You can choose 5, replacing the flask slots 1-5 and modify these in the tree, lower cd, more charges, duration, dmg, higher effects, etc.

But flasks could seriously just be ditched at this point.
Have everyone start with highly increased life/mana/es regen and buff monster life for that matter.

Here we go...
It was with aurastacker / aurabot ... people, because they were unable to obtain items that allowed such builds to work, cried that they were too OP. Now we have this ... Well, you can't drop the item and you think it's an op, so remove or change the Flask system. The logic of the child. This game is one big grind. Accept it. Someone who has earned this bar is either very lucky or has a lot of farming, or both. Lots of people have been complaining (and still do) about HH because most can't even farm cards to get it. In life, not everyone has the same chances, and all has different skills. The game is not about everyone being the same strength no matter what they do ...
Goals are needed in the game. If it is not there and it falls out partially, it is worth as much as the wisdom scroll.
As i said earlier in this thread, the most useful part of mageblood is not needing to worry about half the stats you need an gear anymore.

Need chill/freeze immunity? 60% reduced effect and an enkindling orb and your immune.

Need resistance? 1 res flask with +res mod and you no longer need res, from any gear at all.

Want corrupted blood and bleed immunity? just roll the mod and you got 'em.

Your choice of what you dont need to care about anymore.

Curse? Shock? Block? The only problem with this belt is it's only 4 choices.
