3.16 - the 'we are sorry' patch
" Well that's a bit surprising, I expected a nerf. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

after diving deeper, the new tree (if final, i have my doubts) is one GIANT sugercoated nerf to pretty much everything
I know that a) there are some passive point savings we can make (like not needing entire cluster setup just for Holy Conquest) b) i know about masteries (more on them later) c) 'nerfs are good' but the great prunning of damage from passive tree is a fact and it is - in some cases - quite shocking. While Traps and Minions got rightfully shafted i wonder whats the reason behind Staff and Mace nerfs? What is the plan for Strike skills - because changes we can see are ABSOLUTELY HORRID for them. What about Channelling skills? I kinda know the answer - these are unplayable in current POE (excluding Cyclone ofc) but is that a reason valid enough? Masteries, oh my. Such an interesting idea such a slopy execution. I think that someone started with cold/fire/lightning and used up all the good ideas and once he finally reached types he doesnt like he was spent. Elemental masteries are pretty cool, strong, interesting, they really solve lots of annoying build making issues. The rest is so bland that in comparison. Elemental ones are simply busted, things like 'mace mastery' are just 'ok'. Why widen the gap that already exists and give such bland, weak stuff to already weak archetype? (yes, chill on hit is good. what else?) The last part is.. can we finally do something about just how terrible bottom-left part of the tree is? I altered the new tree to remove nodes that NOONE ever is going to take (due to pathing, being useless or both)

I expected that at least some of these nodes noone ever picked will be granted +1max res or something (Inexorable with max res would be at least worth thinking about if i had 3 passives to spend). Agreed. Massive disinformation from GGG about how bad it now to play solo (non-party) build.
Most of the jewels spots is moved so no longer good timeless jewels (IL and ToH) spots. Complete joke how they trying to sell this 3.16 nightmare. They need to hire a manager who can be brave enough to tell next about this league: "We decided that game is to easy for most of the ppl who know how to make a good build using varies mechanics in synergies. Following that decision we made end-game content available only for party. Also we decided to keep toxic rain mines as a single solution for single player, but we increase price of that build from 50ex to few mirrors. See you in the Scourge League and remember if you wanna see end-game content you can do so on the Twitch where some streamers chase it with abusive party mechanic". " Adjusted. Like there no good spot for miner now. Can you tell me what build solo player can made now to be able to do end-game content with 50-70ex budged. With good clear speed. I would really appreciate that, I rly tied of playing mines, but it was the only options for the last couple of leagues without crzy investment. Timeless jewel within mine cluster was very important quality of life addition. Now its gone... |

" I do all content in HCSSF every league and usually on multiple builds. Pretty damn sure all of my builds are not even 70 ex in trade league lol. If you can't beat game content in soft trade for w/e realist budget it is you, not the game. As far as mines.. sorry hate mines with passion i have info there. " Didn't we already know this and were saying this for quite long. All of GGG words that it will be all buffs, no nerfs at all(their own words) have finally being reveal as a one big fat lie, as what me and you have state for quite long now. Just by opening the POB, and seeing my DMG goes from 2,5 mln. to 1.5mln. straight and my 78/78 block goes down to 85/6 just tells you the whole story .... But yeah GGG values our time ..... And just as we talk, Strike Skills are even more dead now. They put the +3 to melee Strike Range on the Sword Mastery, so in order to get what i have pre 3.16 from the gems i have to sacrifice A Mastery for this piece of ..... And should we talk about the Sword Masteries a bit ? They are all an absolute piece if ......... And the left side, aka Melee path is still the worst of them all, and you had to waste points of points to get to certain needed points ....
