He is playing only and all meta builds for god sake.
Try play a Strike Skill on an actual melee character and see how it goes. They may have 160 gems, but that doesn't mean a ***** when just a 20-30% of them are good enough, and the rest are crap. It was quite obvious and me and Sid tells you this from the very beginning when patch notes comes out, that 3.16 is a one big fat lie. On a ***** Gladiator i can't get over 50% Spell Block, unless i made some insane investment to just get to 52% .... And if i go that road i'm all stuck at 60/50 and that's it, and that is with 0 DMG from the Ascendancy and quite investment in the tree. Great job GGG. Your development time goes into create problem, and then gives a "solution", aka destroy, then after a few leagues - rework. The game keep going into the direction of full time job, otherwise you are left way too much behind. And even then you still have to do a ridiculous amount of unpleasing things in order to be in check with what's going on. You need to study, like you are in the University lol. And said it best, the game is not complex, but actually POE is convoluted, and he is 100% spot on. Outdated system by 20+ years, and they just refuse to gives a simple QOL changes, as well as a decent Trade System, and you need to waste countless hours in annoying mechanics in order to be in check. The actual time they waste in destroying/rebuilding could have actually be spend in something better, as different than the END game systems, End game Quests, a way better PVP and group play for example, or an actual balanced game, or close to it, towards all skills and all style of play. Not like currently Ranger/Caster 1000 to 1 in terms of power compare to Melee. |

Last league i did nearly all content on vortex occultist, cold dot was played by 2% in ultimatum and .4% this league. That is some meta shit right there. By in any case i play HCSSF, it you know has a few things that make it harder then cs trade. Which means you have to play strongest builds, due to lack of specific gear.
Speaking of strike skills, i did play LS raider and he was farming t16 at 87, and would do just fine on bosses, but it is HC and dodge was unlucky. P.S. Still quitting i see. P.P.S. P.P. I don't know why you care so much if i quit or not. But to fulfil your curiosity - yeah i do as i said. The game is deleted even before i made the thread that i'm quitting. And i won't be back before POE2, and it will be if i actually see a real improvements and changes in the game, that i see as a must.
But that doesn't mean you won't see me on the forum from time to time, when i got free time on work. On LS i agree, while i didn't play it, from what i see it's probably the best and only viable(with FB) SK. On PVP topics, here is the thing, the player base that actually play PVP and focus on it, it's quite BIG. You can see that in MMORPG genre. But people that actually like to play PVP and would consider POE as a game to play, and focus on PVP, or just like me play mostly PVE, but when they get bored or want to play PVP, they won't touch POE, cause PVP is terrible. Of course with that type of PVP you won't have much of a big player base, this is obvious. You have to be mind, to stick here for the PVP part. But this is what could potentially bring huge new % player base, which should be a DEV drive in every single game out there, you know? |

" If we look at new world as a recent example, it has good pvp, and that's because the game is built around it. Pve is pretty weak, quests and campaign are kinda just there so you'd get familiar with the game and hopefully not get slaughtered before you jump in pvp. You have to build them differently for pvp, if a game was developed for pve and has great pvp, it's an exception rather than a rule. If poe was developed symmetrically from the start it would be a much tighter game with a possibly decent pvp experience. But they kept piling on more and more on the pve side over time until it wasn't possible to keep track of pvp anymore so they only trim the worst offenders now and then. At this point, they would have to invest so much effort to beat some sense into pvp and it would have to be so tightly curated with customized rules and mechanics that nobody in their office would be dumb enough to even think of investing serious dev time into it. Especially not now when every spare minute goes into poe2. GGG was up front and honest for the 3.15 release. There was a mini revolt in the base. The lesson they learned from this is that they will sugarcoat the nerfs and present them as buffs instead. Almost everything was presented as buffs in 3.16.

Only buff is for Two Hand Axe and melee strike range and rest are nerfs. Armor still garbage and +2% or 3% maximum res dont change nothing.
