So apparently we've reached the point where people are sending death threats...
People are invested in the game

It's a freaking game, if you don't like somebody just ignore that person, don't make death threats.
People sending death threats need to leave their computer, not just the game, and get a f'king mental checkup. Last edited by Silverpelt#6095 on Aug 12, 2021, 6:51:40 AM

I was wondering how long it would be before neckbeards starting taking it too far - I wonder if we'll also see doxxing of GGG employees, attempted DDOS attacks on the website & game severs etc.

these death threats are just trolls..if someone really wanted to harm you then they wouldnt warn you, they would just do it.

" The usual stuff - people reaching for their pitchforks after seeing a 30 second video that was out of context and highly clipped to make sure it looks as bad as possible. |

" Although that may be an explanation for it, it is certainly not an excuse for it. I've played this game for years and years. I don't like the word invested, but I've definitely grown attached to the game. I've not liked the timered zoom zoom go go changes to the game over the past few years, and yet somehow I've managed to send exactly zero death threats to anyone. I would guess many of the adults who play this game are the same. There is no excuse for it. Thanks for all the fish!

" People are emotionally and financially invested into that game, be it players, ggg employers or streamermans. Raiz said enough shit in the past so he has to deal with angry persons. Same as ggg back in 2013 with kripps pizzafriend f.e. That stuff is not new to poe or the world, he can deal with it just fine like he did in the past. What part of it don't you understand? |

" Ain't that the truth! It's one of the worst aspects of the anonymity afforded by the internet. People behave in a manor that they would never do in real life because of the lack of immediate consequences. As others have echoed here, behaviour of a threatening nature is illegal and it is never acceptable. It's also not innocent or victimless. It's a threat intended to intimidate and there are certainly examples of unbalanced individuals carrying out such threats. Nobody should ever dismiss or covertly condone such behaviour. " Let me break it down further: " It is just a video game. Not sure how anyone can be confused on this point. " In no way does someone's capacity to deal with death threats warrant receiving them. Thanks for all the fish!

" That's just insane, after the podcast he should have received nothing but praise for the questions he asked and his responses. |
