After ending the podcast I started checking my social media to see what people thought. I instantly noticed my DMs were flooded with tons of death threats, harassment and general unpleasantries again.

Friendly reminder that this is still just a video game. A VIDEO GAME!

Edit:- As something further to ponder over - I've also seen suggestions for GGG to also appear on the Baited Expectations podcast sometime, instead of only on Baeclast every time. Baited Expectations features female streamers. At this point, I wonder how that'll turn out for them...

People are pretty fanatical for sure. I made a thread a few days ago that was critical of the current spam and got some nastygram messages as well, and I'm not a popular streamer.

The internet has made a lot of people brave since they don't have to actually answer for their actions.

Friendly reminder its not just a video game. We had that discussion before and he gets what he asks for. He plays the big boy all the time, so he can deal with it by himself.

yes it shouldnt happen but its so common these days, most people just ignore it. if you have an opinion that someone disagrees with, they will probably throw a death threat at you. if you cant deal with it then maybe you shouldnt be a streamer or an influencer

Welcome to the internet where people troll and act out their insecurities.

The best thing we can do is ignore these types of messeges and try not to give the offenders any screen time. That's what they're looking for.
