The REAL Truth about NERFS and what it really means in game <- Warning! Factual Content!
|
How would you know what "the" "real truth" is? You could be taken more seriously if you made more measured statements instead of one hyperbole after another.
|
|
" do you have something to back up that claim? |

Might be some truth to it. Global chat is heavily infested with bs about how ggg is bad, poe dead and yada yada yada. I don't know how the chat system works, if we see softcore chat from hardcore or vice versa.
Somehow I think, most people just play the game with global chat disabled and the drama queens get amplified. |

" Definitely this. Complainers are always the loudest. Vast majority of “quality satisfaction surveys” filled out for literally anything are negative purely on account of when people are satisfied, they don’t want to fill out a survey. They’re busy using the product that they’re satisfied with. I’m quite happy with the league and I’m doing well with it. The only reason I’m even looking at forums now is because I’m at work on break. Otherwise I’d be playing the game, satisfied. Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfSWYPXd9prVxf5v_DoqtIQ

" Sure, if you want to cast it in the most negative light imaginable. It’s literally a “get loot” game. But if everyone gets the same loot, then there’s nothing special about any of the loot. Which means, people like myself find purpose in achieving gear that most people don’t have or won’t bother getting because of not enough time/skill/knowledge/etc. Most of the “special” gear I had was from high-expense marginally deterministic crafting gear. I never got anything mirror-worthy (nearly did), but I guarantee I will have by the end of this season on account of my starting this season on time WITH the wealth of knowledge I accumulated from playing the previous season. Any time someone has asked me “Dude, how did you make that item?” or “Where are you farming all your currency?” How do you think it makes me feel? Damn good, that’s how. It’s simple human psychology. Highly motivating. You don’t have to look at it with such disdain. The entire model of a loot-based ARPG is built around this concept, and it’s a big part of why I love the genre. " I do apologize. I just didn't realize people actually felt that way. One reason I cannot stand these games sometimes is because the thought of items being randomly generated is ludicrous to me. These are digital items and they could easily be digitally produced without having to spend hours of life playing the game to get it randomly. That is the dichotomy that I cannot get past. For me personally, I could just load an item editor and give myself whatever I want in the game and be done with it. Becoming intimate with the game and producing objects of accomplishment based on virtual scarcity is odd to me to put it mildly. I play the game to experience the entertainment. If I wanted to feel good and be motivated, I would work on a doctorate in philosophy or playing the guitar. Something tangible and able to be used again in future situations. If I learn all there is to know about PoE and crafting items and finding its most rare items, I have nothing left when I no longer play the game. |

" I read what you are saying... Flow, damage, fun. I just... Can't seem to notice much of a difference once your character gets going. It's probably just me, not playing "optimal zoom-zoom", not using Dash for travel, as it's not a travel skill and never used increased effect on mu QS flask. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Jul 27, 2021, 1:24:41 PM

Strong is different for people, i need to have a certain amount of movement speed and phasing for my playstyle. If i'm not having that i'm having a bad time against faster act 1 enemies in maps. 20 against 1 great.
With the 3.15 the game shows it's mechanical flaws again, something i didn't miss in the last couple of years. Something diablo 3 did better. The flow is gone. |

" I agree. The flow of the game feels so bad right now (For my build). I'm sure there are other builds out there that don't have these issues. But I'm not here to play other players builds. I play this game because I like playing my own builds and if they don't flow well due to the flask and mobility changes I'll have to try and solve it myself. Problem is GGG intends us to run slow and for the gameplay to feel clunkier. It's their vision. If you have managed to bypass that by finding something cool on a Raider or something, good for you. It's probably getting removed next patch anyway. We've all seen the PoE2 gameplay. That's their vision it seems like. We'll see how many more patches of pruning and nerfing ZOOMers can stomach before they ditch the game. PoE still is my favorite game and there's always a next league so one can only hope that GGG keeps adding to the game like they've done before rather than taking away tools from us without giving anything relevant in return. People refuse to change anything and expect GGG to change things back or for them.
They are meta players that only use guides to the T, they dont want answers or solutions on how to make things work, they want to be "Heard" e.g. I want nothing to change but for me to only get more powerful and never get challenged but not get bored. None of that works though. So glad GGG is changing and hope they dont cave more to reddit, hope they move to d2. |
