But please, give us a reason to make powerful characters again. Ultimatum endgame "rework" took that away from players. Content that is more difficult to complete should be more rewarding than content that can be cleared with a white map zoomer.

That should tell you everything about their idea of 'power balancing'.
It's aimed at the bottom 95% of the player base, not the elite superfarmers.
Patch Notes 3.15:
Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive.
Patch Notes 3.19:
Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment.
