Auto trade. Price fixing solution?

I'm sure we've all spent countless clicks on trade site and wasted time waiting for someone to reply, without avail.

So my question is:

Would autotrade solve that? Meaning the item listed would be sold at the price listed upon interaction.

Wouldn't this fix the fixes?

Please read the trade manifesto:

Confirmed in GGGs latest Q&A to still be valid.

It explains why you'll not get autotrade... ever...
GGG has been fully consistent on this issue since the game started.

This is also one of the main reasons why the game is in the state it is. It had the potential to grow, GGG saw that and took the Overlord's money. gave up their Indie status to embrace the building momentum in game growth......except they did not fully embrace the concept. They cling to this trade concept, that worked well with 5000 players, but clearly is completely inadequate for where the playerbase was.

If the game can't grow with the playerbase, a implosion is just a matter of time, and that will upset the new Overlords and the proverbials will hit the fan.

We would like to spend more time on playing rather than spending time on trading and picking up things. GGG, please improve trading system and try to make automatic loot system such as automatic loot pets that you introduced only in Chinese realm.
I put a link as a reference for an automatic loot pet in chinese realm.

Why don't we have this automatic loot system in US and EU realms?

auction house is a BAD IDEA

all we need is an option to sell and buy with out need to ask 20 people

no need to be able to bid on an item or anything like that.

just a simple way to buy an item from the trade site and get it sent to your stash tab one that you ofcorse have to buy.

this way we get all the price fixers out of the way and we can sell and buy faster.

no more dump stash, where you ask for an item and seller say wrong price and 2 min later it is 10 times the price.

all i want is a fair trade that dont involving asking 20-30 players before you get a reply
Thank you

That "hassle" togheter with the difficulty evaluating an items value is what keeps the supply off the market instead of those other limitations.

Its why our stashes are full with stuff the loot filter said is valuable or rares we think look good but we havent sold, at the end of the league

Make it easy and we all start selling more, increasing the supply (i have way more stuff in my stash than ill ever sell in a league).

That new supply needs to be balanced out for items to maintain value and you get reduced drop rates or BoE, PoE. or just a trashed economy

I much prefer the "hassle" wich is just msg the seller and go do the trade if you both find it worthwhile

Lower end of that wonderful "hassle" is dipped in shit, hehe, try buying say a single map or a couple of these levelling uniques that are usually listed for one alch or one pixel chaos orb and count the number of PMs you'll send before buying the actual item. There's no "value" to maintain in that case - mediocre/starter items are usually a couple chaos tops except the first few days of a fresh league.

So, let's assume a somewhat automated market was made for "common" items, with say price limit up to one full stack of pixel currency and up to a pixel chaos orb regarding its rarity, so max price is basically 10 chaos or 20 alts/chisels, whichever of these is moar "valuable". How egg-sactly this will ruin "MUH EE-CONOMY"?

Ive bought plenty of maps and leveling uniques over the years. usually not harder than looking past the cheapest one and paying a bit more and/or using notification to get recently posted ones. If youre deadset that your leveling unique is 1 alch and not a cent more, yes you might have a hard time.

Maps are exactly the kind of thing that would end up on your automated market and there are quite a few people making decent currency selling maps with the current system. ive ended leagues with hundreds of maps in my stash, and im for sure not alone. What do you think happens when they and all the others hit that market?

How does your automated market regulate the fluctuating value of currency? an exalt can be 20 chaos or 200 chaos depending on league and depending on when in the league.

It does get complicated and its to "fix" a problem that alot of people dont have. we like the game, as it is. And PoEs success reflects that.

There's no need for or intent to regulate the market. That wasn't the point at all. The entirety of this thread is based upon the presumption that listed items with no intent of sale could be negated by instant trade.

Whatever people are willing to list items for is their business.

I can buy them too at any point, but what about Johnny the Noob, fresh outta the wild, who jumped in in the middle of some league? He is probably frustrated enough with that passive tree and that wall-of-text guide somebody suggested him to follow, plus all the crutches he need to play the game, from 3rd party loot filter to 3-rd party tools and websites, hehe. Its highly possible that Johnny will leave too soon and ggg won't be able to sell him that starter stash tab set aka the actual price of playing the game.

I can "make decent currency" too, however miserably waste of time it is; Johnny can't, but with automation he'll be able to sell at least a couple of his items without constantly staring at the screen and buy some single map or whatever in one click instead of 9948. Also, as the topic title says, it would be impossible to list some item for 1/100 of its actual pixel value without losing it.

Does it need to? even if egg-salt is 20 pixel chaos, half an egg-salt is low enough to weed out the "good" items for that wonderful "I wanna..." -> "ty bye" oh-so-human interaction you like so much.

Who exactly are "we" and how many "us" actually are there? Without a decent amount of data from some game-wide poll it sounds more like "we, his Royal Majesty King Trallalam the First", sorry.

No.....no 'we' don't .

You just have to look around a bit, and you will see countless threads in this forum and Reddit and Discord and everywhere, with 100s of posts of 100s of countless people over years, that absolutely hate this .

There are a relative handful of you that claim to actually like it, probably because you got 5 Bot accounts that cheese league starts for you idling in their HOs abusing this shit trade system.

Yea, i see some (maybe hundreds of) very vocal people complaining for years over the same stuff on a game forum, and THOUSANDS OVER THOUSANDS of people just playing the game and having fun without giving a rats ass to express their opinion.

cause, you know, they are (relatively) happy. people who have issues are way more tempted to voice them than people without. just calling them a "majority" cause you see them more often is pretty... stupid, sorry.

thats such a nobrainer...

The nobrainer is actually, if you took the % of people that DO frequent the forums at all and don't like the trade system. Try comparing apples with apples....mmmkay ? Can't compare people in forums with entire playerbase, as vast majority of people never use the forums. That don't imply they like or dislike anything about the game.
