I like the patch. In 9 years of PoE this is my favorite - by far! Not sure about this contemporary "gaslighting" cult, to me it seems people get really angry if I express my appreciation of the nerfs.

TLDR: I like the patch.

Not only is it a display of stubborn ignorance, but also shows a lack of empathy and selfishness, when the small group of people making the game get to decide against what the majority of people playing their game are telling them is actually a good thing.

Excuse me, what!?

Developers are - in many cases - artists with a certain vision for their creation. They DO listen to feedback, but doesn't always obey, when they are directly disagreeing with the feedbeck. And developers also have to think about so much more than you: What generates player retention in the short and long term, what generates MTX sales, what generates an influx in players, what makes players fulfilled, what makes them hungry for more and so on.

Think music: Is it selfish of Metallica to make the music THEY want to make, instead of listening to the fanbase? What if the fanbase told them to make trance, should they obey? Should they ignore everything they believe in, and always cater to "the majority"? I don't think so.

You don't care about "the majority" (or the loud minority) or whatever. You care about YOUR gaming experience, and sometimes, your opinion happens to be the opinion of the majority, so you use it for all it's worth. But again, you are advocating for changes to the game YOU want, which is also selfish. What's more selfish, a developer making the game they want to make, or you, bashing them for not making the game YOU want to play? Come on, the irony here is glaring.

PoE is ALWAYS a work in progress, and will always be a progressive game, changing drastically each year, especially in the December expansion. This league, it changed more than it used to for one league. Some good changes, some bad changes - and some of the changes are in need of a review before next league. They have made it clear; they ARE listening to feedback. But does that mean blindly obeying everything the "percieved majority" wants? No, please... It does not.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Stop trying to gatekeep who gets to like the patch.
If you don't like it gtfo of the forums because this is very unhealthy and toxic behavior - being miserable about something and trying to drag others down with you as well.

You need to support GGG or else they'll have to revert the changes. They already reported a loss of 30% revenue which will probably convince them to change course, so if you like the changes, buy more supporter packs!

30% of revenue loss was the number that chris said during baeclast. that was month ago. i would not be suprised if they will end up with 40% or even more loss, considering the worst retention ever. and they still are partially missing the point: all nerfs should be reverted, not only flasks and mana changes. movement skills and all support gems too. otherwise these less revenue numbers will be a new constant. making 2 and 3 act more tedious (aka "challenging") will not help either.
dead game
bring back 3.13

Funnily enough, retention in this league is technically a bit better than the last one because it started lower. Checked the full chart yesterday and last league lost 78% players by month and a half, this one lost 75%. If we're comparing the current population, it's 18% lower than the last one.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Honestly, for a good long while I've been thinking it's so bad it can't get worse, and that includes 3.13. From a strictly personal (and very narrow) point of view they have nothing to lose in that department so they might as well try something else. If we look at it more broadly, I'd like GGG to survive long enough to see the release of poe2, of course.
This amount of damage to the playerbase isn't a big deal, doesn't seem to be doing terribly for a patch that was so poorly tested and planned out. They have to start laying down the groundwork if they don't want poe2 to be the same as what we currently have, but it could be dangerous if they forced things too much and too fast.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
