Once you figure out how the desync works and what makes you desync it's not even a problem.
Havn't had a single desync issue the last 3 or so weeks.
So you mean... dont use mobility abilitys, dont get into maps with mobs that moves faster then zombies and dont use spells like FP/LA/ETC with chains and GMP/LMP...
So you're using... auto attacks all the time? :)
Hm, sounds like a plan.
But really, i know what the OP mean. (Cant see what he wrote but It's kinda clear considering the answers.) There is alot of people that leave this game due to a death in HC beacuse of desync.
I cant blame them, i play scrubcore considering i hate when stuff like that can mean my death when i have no part in it at all.
And It's gamebreaking for sure. Having the desyncs you sometimes have in this game... that kinda happend frecently, espacily if you play with friends. If you play solo, sure you wont get that much desync issues... but in a full party with FPers, LAers, Wanders and other stuff it gets kinda... chaotic at times.
It wont get me to quit though considering i love this game and i hope the best for it. But i can see why others leave the game for stuff like this.
Stop acting like It's not a problem, but please, just bump a other thread. It's 1000 out there with the same issue and they are well aware of the problem. But i think they should really inform the crowd more about how they are at this moment. Or give something atleast. Going on like this will make the community even more angry and will make more stop play the game.
Was contemplating not answering as you're exaggerating by ALOT.
Fast mobs don't desync, maybe once per week if you're running vaal pyramids or some other zone prone to desync, but the door really helped there.
The only abilities that really desync are leapslam and whirling blades and once you figure out how desync works with them you can use them without much problems, I've had a level 85 leapslammer so I do know.
The things that makes you desync in this game is mainly, using those movementskills "wrong" and trying to squeeze your character through a lot of mobs, causing you to desync and be surrounded. Aslong as you stay away from either you'll be fine.
As for people whining about desync deaths in hc...well what can I say, with the way altF4 works it's impossible to die to desync if you're paying attention. Except vaal-maze I guess but that room doesn't really desync at all so whatever.
I'm not trying to say desyncs doesn't exist or that they're not a problem, they most certainly are. But people blame everything and every single death on desync, I've played this game enough to know the problems aren't as big as people try to make them look.
ps. yes I'm only using autoattack and I'm only playing in terraces vs the zombies

I'm not sure why every one gets so butthurt on the forums latley... I never said like 90% of what you're replying to me. But It's cool man. Like blaming everything on desync must just have come out of your ass. :D
I only stated It's a problem and i dont really care about it. And i think how GGG currently take the matters at hand is just bad for themself. I look at it from a $$$ view, not my own view. If that makes sence.
And on your PS. Lets try it out togheter! It will take time sure.. But we will have such found memories! :)

Wasn't directed at you as much as it was against all the desync threads.
Wanna take a bet how many desync-whine threads are created as a direct result of somoene thinking they just died because of desync?

Not true...
- I got desync in basically all areas I have played
- I have a ranged witch, lots of FP/IS, I don't run through mobs... I don't get close to them. Yet, I got desynced out of nowhere in the middle of a mob pack quite a few times. Even if you were to "squeeze" your char through mobs, the game should obviously not desync.
- you cannot use movement skills "wrong", the game is at fault, don't even suggest it has got to do with the player
- not only your char desyncs, but mobs desync too, quite often. I can't count how many mobs I had running into me like drunk chickens only to stop and probably be reset to earlier positions. Luckily, this is not dangerous for the player...

What you describe doesn't happen to me.
Maybe it's different in other regions? But EU servers do not have this problem.
It's a bit worse for me on US servers but thats most likely due to the increased ping.

You do realize that just because it doesn't happen to you it doesn't mean that case is universal?
And you realize that just because it's an issue for someone doesn't make the issue universal correct? pot and kettle.
The desync problems seem to effect some much worse than others and it seems to be a combination of where the player is logging in from and what skills they are using.

Yes but the number of threads/posts about the issue is already empircal proof that the issue is widespread enough (and problematic enough) that it requires urgent attention
This isn't an issue thats akin to a single guy posting about a problem because of some weird hardware configuration. A lot of people (including myself) have been experiencing desync, to a gamebreaking degree
The evidence is simple, number of posts and threads
Interestingly enough, I don't remember desync happening to me at all in CB, but I only finished Normal, so played 2-3 days maybe. But in OB, after we got past the server issues of the launch, desync was ever present. I don't think it killed me more than once or twice, and none of the deaths were at "hurtful" levels... so I can't say it affected me in this way.
But boy, did I escape death closely so many times heh... Trusty friend, Alt-F4, in the crap situations where I got teleported in dangerous places.
As for the "mob desync", that is quite common on fast mobs for me. I'm pretty puzzled about not seeing many mentioning. Mob comes straight to you-->shooting it has no effect-->mob stops-->mob disappears, probably reset to earlier position. This stuff happens a lot to me. Undying, rhoas, fast mobs, basically desync each time.
And yes, the connection is 100 mbps, and ping at 40-60 or so.
To be honest, desync would be pretty benign. I faced bugs in most games, and sometimes they got me killed, I even lost savegames and progression or items and so on, and "raged" for like half a second before laughing it away. What makes PoE different is the consequences of desync: lost HC char, lost 15% XP at 80+ :| So for me, desync is not that annoying, but the consequences suck real bad.
