Ultimatum and summoners
" Mind you, if ultimatum mobs are fine it means the rest of the content is woefully undertuned, if things can work it doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist, kinda like duct taping your car. It's really similar to the way basic defenses don't work in this game, we're surviving just fine on various secondary mechanics and crutches but that doesn't make it good design. Sure, the league content is usually a bit harder than the rest of the game, but we got a decent idea of the spot they tend to aim for, and this seems to be above it. It might mean they want to start a new trend of more challenging league content, but I don't think so, this is probably getting nerfed in some way. " From what I'm seeing, there is definitely an issue at the start of endgame. This isn't Heist, this isn't Ritual - at T1 maps, these trials will drill you a new orifice while you waltz through regular content. Something is a bit squiffy here for sure. |

" +1 to this. I personally think there's nothing unfairly balanced about the ultimata enemies. They're much stronger than basic cannon fodder mobs in the same area, but... they're clearly supposed to be? It's sad that everyone's just gotten so accustomed to easy win sleepwalk mechanics like Harvest and Harvest and Harvest, not to mention Harvest, that when GGG tries to put a little bit of challenge back into the game everyone cries and threatens to ragequit. |

" Challenging mobs like in Ultimatum is one thing. Deterministic crafting and creating nice builds that otherwise arent possible due to casino RNG principles is a completely different thing. Dont mix up those two pls. |

" This. Not a fan of totems, mines, brands or anythings else fire and forget where concept is move out of harms way while still DPSing. All those are hard to balance same way summomers are. "i can understand that they nerf dps but not the hp. As a summoner u really depend on ur minions being able to survive. Nerfing dps also increases their damage taken due to the fact that the mobs die slower and thereby do more dps before they die. So in the end nerfing both dps and hp is a bit too much |

" The mobs are overtuned. Like I've said several times before in other threads, this is a commonplace practice of GGG for as long as I can remember. They will get toned down in a week or two after launch, it's always happened. The only exception to this is if the mobs used in the mechanic aren't exclusive to that league, such as what you find during Ritual. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley |

" Agree. The initial wave became progressively harder until I can't last a few seconds. Acts 1-6 trialmaster events were good. In Acts 7-10 it's just unpleasant and not even worth trying - especially when then trialmaster spawns in a tunnel or small space where it's impossible to move around. Its too bad. This is the most unbalanced and unoriginal and unbalanced and unrewarding and unbalanced and overp... and unbalanced league I played so far. I've been playing the game more seriously since metamorph.
I only do the stupid ultimatums because of the challenge that requires to take all sorts of the different types of rewards to complete. When I do that, ultimatum is over for me. I don't mind dying once in a while on a juicy map or some Uber Boss fight, but in ritual even the 1st wave is very often a overkill. Fix your f^%&^&^% legue.
