Why is it so hard for you at GGG to understand that grinding 24/7 to get some gear is no fun.
It's like this game is for Streamers only, so what about the people that doesn't have that amount of time?
I know many players that quit because it's so hard to get decent gear.
Also talked with many that probably will quit playing because of the nerf of harvest.
There is also other things in the game that needs to get buffed, like perandus what a joke that is...
Also the amount of items that is droped is so unnecessary and creates lag.
And why is it that when you do Sirius Awakening 9 items with requierment like lvl 56 drops!? 99% of the items droped at high lvl like that is low tier.
and 10000000 of them. Do you understand how annoying that is!?
I don't know how many shares my point of view but i want to kill monsters and try out different builds, not farm for gear the whole freaking league.
im not lucky and even with harvest as it was in ritual i have to spend the whole league to get decent gear.
I didn't want to buy crafts from other players but at the end i had to.
34 days playede on one of my chars...

Lower the expectations you put on yourself as influenced by others. You don't teleport to your destination, you have to grow into it.
What is the value of my own life when it is taken from others so easily?
The game is a steaming mess these days compared to where it started. It's not even close to being the same game anymore.

The devs have lost control of the game and there's no putting the genie back in the bottle. In essence you have one side of the company that wants to give players the tools to go faster than ever (at a price), and another side that put care into developing detail and trying to inhibit player speed and progression.

Because it's possible to tweak a character to the nth degree, balancing must be done at the extreme end of the spectrum. Consequently a vast majority of players are going to have a sub-par experience with the game.

It doesn't seem to be hurting GGG too much though. Player numbers and revenue are at all time highs, so the player churn and negative feedback like this post are not causing many issues although there is certainly money being left on the table by them.

My personal commitment to the game is at an all time low and I can only see a decreasing interest in future. Sure, I'll still play occasionally but nowhere near what I used to, and I haven't paid GGG in a few years now because they don't deserve it.

Low-commitment ~12 challenge bros, unite.

The reason is simply, really: Powercreep.

This game is really easy if you have those items you want. I mean: You can still insta-phase/oneshots most encounters blindfolded if you choose the right skill+items (but mainly if you choose the right items).

Instead of going for an actually balanced game, GGG locks your progress behind a grind, so you are not bored too fast and spend more hours playing it.

Don't get me wrong: It's okay to have to invest time and grind for great endgame items. But, while being easier and needing less mechanical skill, the game should still be a challenge, even with endgame equip. And while being harder and requiring more mechanical skill, the game should be playable without some very specific or endgame items - which is true for a few skills, but most skills are just gated behind items.

So in my point of view, the variation of this game's difficulty is too high, depending on your items, and can reach from "can't kill a rare mob with high life reg" to "can actually ignore 99,9% of the game's mechanics because everything dies in an instant".
If you reached the second extreme, the game is boring AF. The grind is meant to keep you away from that extreme for longer time, so you don't quit the game too soon (as a lot of players just quit after the first few weeks of a league, because they reached this point via trading).

Imho GGG would need to reduce the amount of power you can accumulate on a given character and provide more power through raw skills and passives. Not enough to comfortably play the game. This is a classical dungeon crawler and we want to find items that make us better - much better. But to a point where all skills are viable in SSF with some effort and on the other hand one that have us still respecting mechanics at every stage of gearing.

The grind is a lazy solution to the problem.

This.

Instead of dps ranging from 100k to 200 million it should probably be ranging from 750k to maybe 2.5 to 3 million.

At 3 million dps, most non-Sirus/Maven bosses still die fast (a few second), but not instant.

As Firn said, this could be accomplished by boosting the passive tree, and lowering item power.
