I do level the gem unless I don't meet the requirements. The cost is high but since I usually dont support it, the cost is not too bad compared to my other skills (at high level). If I made a build focused almost entirely on this skill I would use 3-4 conversion traps and keep at least one of them at a low level because there are situations where you would actually want the shorter duration.

" infinite crit with diamond totems by the way :D and im pretty sure its intended, its not that OP since the trap doesnt always aim properly, quite a lot of times you just convert some white mob instead of the totem anyway. very serious issue with this spell. Was doing a fellshrine group tonight. Someone was using elemental proliforation with a burning attack and converstion trap. At the time the enemy gets converted ele proliforation also kicks in and it then spreads the burning debuff to EVERYONE in the party.
tl/dr Ele prolif+burn+conversion trap = burn yourself and entire party. | |
