I just want to remark that GGG had put in a ban on streamers doing giveaways some years ago because they recognize it as a form of RMT. Giveaways = viewer engagement which results in income for the streamer.

Yeah now some streamers "sell" headhunters for 1 silver coin or 2 perandus coins... And yes it is rmt cause lots of people only see the stream in hope of getting free stuff.

I find that to be pretty extreme, i can not think of other game thinking about it like this.

For example in warframe you get: twitch drops, exclusive streamer glyphs, premium items, and normal item giveaways, because they realize that stuff is great for streamer and the company.


I find this to be "poser" move from company where 7.5% of shares belong/ed to dude selling PoE items on his 2 RMT pages.

Streamers can get banned of twitch if they don't act if bad stuff gets written in their chats or donations. They are free to do whatever they want just not as public figure.

Seems, that some streamers (and other hidden persons) who pointed at Pathofmatth just coz he is doing content which is very competitive to "classic" Zizaran and co.

It seems obvious that somebody wants the monopoly on content on twitch and youtube about PoE, and don't want to share it with self-made single-standing persons, who can tell us secrets, some guys don't want to share.

So let me get this straight - someone else pretends to be you and does something bad, and you're somehow at fault? Just cos they know where you are? Should remember to tell the cops that next time I see someone post heading out somewhere. Oh wait, it won't even come up for them, because it isn't something you could be prosecuted for to begin with, only chased off of private platforms that get to implement punishments willy nilly as their own personal fiefdoms.

Oh right, he's a 'public figure', so obviously everything that happens that's even remotely connected to them is their fault by default.

Not to mention that your chosen example has a history of playing into and encouraging such behaviour to begin with, so he isn't even comparable to this or many other cases. In your example, he might very well be responsible, but only because he's often "egged them on to doing it", rather than just because he's a public figure and so that makes them automatically guilty simply by association.

Idk, maybe that's the case^ with Matth too. If so, sure he's at fault. But I'm not gonna buy into the position that we're responsible for everything that other people who happen to be fans of ours do. If we didn't have a hand in it, we aren't to blame. They're their own people, and the fault lies with them.
