Sirus/Maven = BIG NOPE
" I did separate that, because the OP said he couldn't do them. And I also didn't say it is easy, because for most players, it isn't. I tried to give some tips, because even if fighting Sirus isn't much fun for you, fighting him and losing is even less fun. ;) |

ebwop: Oshabi fight is about as wrong in design as you can get. You have to navigate the fight pretty much by sound and minimap. The garden gets pitch black and the only thing you see is yourself.
Basically just hit tab to put the minimap overlay across your entire screen. Follow the oshabi icon, run away when she says "I am the grove". Come back and whack her and all her ads. Bogey at 310 degrees, target acquired, lather rinse repeat. Using the minimap this way is almost like cheating - pretty much the same when you're in a sim and a Kosis icon appears, you can't see anything in the fog because all his abilities are gray and black, so you just "use the Force". I don't know if I like that you can use the radar blip in this way. A part of me wishes the entire game ran like this, so it would save me many hours of unneeded deaths trying to peer into the grayblackred soup while texture loading stutters me to a frezing halt. Use the force, Luke. [19:36]#Mirror_stacking_clown: try smoke ganja every day for 10 years and do memory game

There are atlas points locked behind them. I'm level 98 and could definitely use them. I wont be continuing my grind though. POE is dead to me until GGG starts putting more thought into their game design. I'm done with arbitrary mechanics. Either test my skill or test my character DO NOT test my patience. Furthermore as someone with severe ADHD I find it lame and unfair to test my memory too.

I spent 98 levels playing an arpg only to find out the end-game bosses are nothing but a bunch of Mario Party minigames with no explanation.

Again, it's not about difficulty, it's about enjoyability. I could take the time to learn the fights but if the entire encounter is tedious and unfun why would I? And if these are literally supposed to be the pinnacle of end game difficulty and none of the difficulty of the fight relates to anything the rest of the game prepares you for then why in the hell would I wanna keep playing this trash?

" What exactly does the game prepare you for? If u arent overgeared the fights are pretty alright maybe try out the gauntlet race if u want something spicy |

It doesnt. You run maps until you're high level and then you go on youtube to learn how to win their Mario Party minigames. The end game difficulty is superficial. Make the boss have a ton of life, make it to where non bossing builds dont stand a chance. Do this so that the difficulty can be ENGAGING not arbitrary. So the bosses can be more mobile and so the player is having to decide when to attack.
This bullshit of "I'll stand here for 2 minutes until his invuln phase ends then hit him for 2 seconds" is TERRIBLE game design. Last edited by BebopDeluxe#2527 on Mar 12, 2021, 3:57:49 PM

Can't say I'm a huge fan of most bosses either. But they have to give these invulnerability phases so their broken builds don't instagib bosses. Rich get richer some challenge and play. Takes some learnin'
I don't know a good solution to a problem where some enter fight with 100 million DPS and some 500K and both can be able to beat him and still provide challege. You have a shot at it. Git R Dun! Last edited by Aim_Deep#3474 on Mar 12, 2021, 3:58:34 PM
