Is anyone actually going to stop playing?

i also came back(never really left though), after blight i pretty much played STD, like 50 maps/week.. then played Harvest fully.. then took a break form PoE, ended up worsening my drinking problem so here we are again.
right now i just fucking love the amount of essences they gave us for "free" pretty much can slam essences all day into a random white bases i pick up. i dont really give a shit if i cannot use harvest on influ gear anymore. as it should.. you can still get nice rares and jewels out of it and the other gmablings/upgrades really make a difference.. like i have 1 esh breachstone that will be chauyla one day :P not sure if it's only me but rituals feel really hard on T12+ but man they are rewarding d:-D*

I'm seriously looking for a new game. Devs are way too out of touch with their game. I love this game but the constant back and forth of them fucking mechanics is tiresome. It's a bad day when the devs know less about the game than the players.

Maybe give a season or two off, a little break. I will consider patch notes either. Another double nerf on necro, p.e.
I still like this game (only good game for summoner right now), but endgame items aren't craftable for me, no reason to even try it. Your post in the 'X' thread has been removed for breaching the following clauses of the Code of Conduct:
● Needlessly negative ● Antagonistic |

I'm probably done, already done with this league, and a nerf to harvest makes it even less likely for a return next league.
There's just so much negatives that i don't enjoy the game nearly as much anymore. I'd really like to make a proper feedback post, but since i'm not a streamer nor a whale(more like a dolphin) i know my feedback is quite meaningless and becomes nothing more than clutter on this forum. Several years of diablo 2, whereas completed probably 40 different mods during this timespan, and following PoE since late 2010/early 2011 means absolutely nothing here. There are several steps GGG could have taken over the years to make the game better and bigger, [Removed by Support] Certain things that have been released have been under the standard GGG should have had at that point in time, and i still think they struggle to keep a proper standard. It seems like the focus in how a league is presented is more important than how it plays out. [Removed by Support] I still think they should do a simple league, or legacy v2. Then focus completely on removing bug, improve the game as much as possible for both pc and consoles, revamp older leagues, change lab already, unveiling system ++. Push mtx pack and skins and people would still play and support. It would possibly delay poe2 for 3 month, but probably a minority would care since overall the game would feel better and run smoother, which after this league could increase the playerbase and improve retention, which could become more income later on until poe2. I especially dislike that some changes is thrown out as a carrot for poe2, few want to wait 2-3 years for these. This ended up being much, probably because i do care for this game and the company, it is still an amazing game and have achieved a lot over the years. But alas, i'm already in the mindset of not playing PoE anymore, feels like this chapter is over for me... You just wasted 3 seconds reading this. I did not planned to play next league cause I've had lots of fun this one and there will be less content, maybe if the league mechanic is huge.
I dislike the changes, I get them, it generates new issues and it twists the fun of the crafters who got lots of currency this league. The change is a bonus for players who juice but do not usually craft imho wich is a strange take. |

I only played harvest for 2 weeks, ritual i only played for one.
Harvest is horrible, only people who need a 2k weapon to beat shaper like it. |

I always stop playing if a game moves into a direction which I dont like. There are so many games out there, we cant play them all anyways and lets face it, POE takes a lot of time to get something decent, time that is often wasted due RNG.
There are games where you are rewarded in a better way, games that have a better performance too. Maybe 20 years ago, we players only had 1 or 2 games, but now we have access to so many that sticking around if things go wrong doesnt make much sense. Besides that, this game is living from our donations, so if we feel its design goes the wrong way, we can just stop supporting and I actually did this a few leagues ago, when they started nerfing summoners and league mechanics, to cater to the 1% on reddit. I would immediately support again, if things change but it does not seem to happen any time soon, so that my money and time is already at other games right now. Personally I still think its a real pity, that Chris doesnt seem to understand that those 1% are not those who made him rich. It´s the average joe who did finance this project years ago and those people are being told that they are just not the target group of this game anymore. Right now GGG seems to follow Blizzard from years ago, where many decisions were made, which were not well received. Blizzard still has trouble to recover from that, lots of jobs were lost in the process, projejcts cancelled. If GGG goes that path, it could be much more serious, as POE is the money maker for them. Because of this I really hope that Chris will realize that the current path is wrong and that he is losing those that made the game big left and right. He is driving a bulldozer through his customers right now, this cant end up well. |

The average player isnt on the forums.
In reality, they wont stomp their feet and quit because Harvest is much weaker. They will just get bored of not being able to progress outside of farming currency and buying gear (much less rewarding than making your own) and go play other games without a goodbye or rant post on the forums. |

" Agree somewhat. I don't think it is necessary for a game to be F2P. As long as they have a F2P demo version of the game, some good videos of in game action and some good reviews, then people will buy that game. One little change can make or break a game - for example Diablo was almost a turn based game (according to David Brevik). Where would Blizzard be if they had stuck to turn based Diablo? https://www.pcgamesn.com/diablo/diablo-was-originally-single-player-turn-based-dos-game-says-designer-then-battlenet-happened Piety's story http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2081910
