Constant crashes with no bug messages 3.13.1
|
Im crashing at random times doing random things it started this morning i had no problems before patch other than the usual instance crashes. I had this same problem last league where a random hotfix killed the league for me for a week.
Ive tried A fresh install of poe Updating drivers Deleting those MOTD folders and whatnot I even tried DLing the steam version just incase that might change something But so far i havent seen a single error code or anything that might point me in a direction that could lead to a fix. These crashes straight to desktop are fucked. |

ryzen 5 1600 here checking in to confirm constant crashes today after the "fix".

" Yup. It might be beneficial if they stopped pointing fingers and their customers. I knew it was on their end for at least a week now. Either they don't know what the issue is or they don't know how to fix it. Lul? The nerfs will continue until morale improves.

Ryzen7 1700, game crashes since 3.13.1 released and not one of proposed solutions helped at all.

going back to dx11 and disabling engine multithreading fixed the crash to desktop issue for me but fps drops are more frequent.
I'm using r5 1600 + rx580 8gb. |

If you're on a gen 1 Ryzen, try disabling multithreading. You'll have shitty FPS, but you shouldn't crash every 5 seconds.

I tried the recommended fix. Didn't help anything - game still crashing and having HUGE lag spikes every couple of minutes.
Are we just waiting and hoping that GGG is going to patch this at some point or what? By far the most "broken" the game has ever been. Totally unplayable. |

|
If you have a Ryzen CPU and are constantly crashing, disable SMT in bios until GGG fixes the problem.
Haven't had a crash since. |

I appreciate the reply, but have no idea what any of that means. Is there a walkthrough I can find somewhere?
Cheers! |

Just wanted to add to the body count to confirm that I am still crashing every 1 minute or so regardless of what I am doing in game. I've tried afk-ing in Oriath, afk-ing in hideout, going into maps, going into a random area in acts - it all still crashes.
Reinstalling PoE worked... for one play session. After the first session, the crashes returned. I've done this twice now, so maybe it's something worth investigating. Deleting the PoE folder in My Games did not solve any issues. |
