Constant crashes with no bug messages 3.13.1
|
I posted earlier a description of my problems, quite typical for this thread: up to several crashes per map, Ryzen 1700X.
I had to postpone Atzoatl or Sirus (I still need all my portals for that one...) Today, I played at least 3 hours, NO CRASH. Just like the old PoE I've been playing for years, any failure was my mistake, not a bug. Like Sirus, failed again... 5 portals on phase 4, no bug to pretend it wasn't my fault... How did I fix it? I have no idea. I just slept over it :) Seriously, it could be that the rest of the applications running were different yesterday and today, but I don't have enough data to give pointers to the developers. Just wanted to mention that this buggy status is not permanent. |

I'm constantly crashing as well since last patch. Ryzen 1600 CPU, GTX 1060 GPU. Usually never have any problems.
Reinstalling the game, deleting all cache folders, updating the graphics drivers, switching between DX11 and Vulcan did nothing. I did find a solution on reddit that worked. Go into BIOS and turn off SMT (Simultaneous multithreading). Not ideal, but at least I can play for now. |

I can confirm that removing Windows Update KB4598242 fixed the problem.

Same problem here. I deleted the folders GGG mentioned and I'm crashing either at the Log In screen, or about 15 seconds into starting a map. I'm trying to not get tilted, but it is quite frustrating. I just hope you get this fixed really soon. Maybe revert the patch if possible 'til you figure it out?
And yeah, I'm another Ryzen user. Ryzen 1600 & a 1070 Last edited by Lolcohol#4777 on Jan 29, 2021, 4:01:03 PM

" It's not *just* a gen1 issue, certainly, but the frequency at which gen1 is crashing is much greater than the later generations, for whatever reason. I certainly don't know enough about CPU architecture to speculate precisely, only that 3 in 30 is much more generous than gen1 crashing either immediately / within 15-30s. As the symptoms differ in how prolonged they are, it's also not unreasonable to suspect that the cause might be different (or mitigated by larger cache/buffer) too. Similarly, the people that are able to fix their issues by pack checking /verifying integrity are likely not facing the same root issue. Last edited by hqDM#6633 on Jan 29, 2021, 4:18:23 PM

Same Problem here. Constant crashes, within seconds of entering maps or immediately when trying to switch from Vulkan to DX11. RTX 2080 Super with Ryzen 7 1800X
Haven't tried any external fixes. And will not. I've spent over 2k on mtx, consider your tech-support funded. |

I've been playing this league for maybe about 4 days now, and I've had maybe one crash from lvl 1 to tier 15 maps.
Today I tried changing the anti-alias setting from 2x to trillinear, and all of a sudden I start getting these crashes - which I experienced for a while during harvest league as well. Trying out the "fix" regarding deleting these subfolders and will let you know if it works. |

Lvl 91 character with 0 issues until today.
Got horrible texture popping - the game looked like Quake 2 for 20 seconds. Crashes seemingly randomly from 1 second to two minutes after starting the game. R5 1600x, RTX 2070, 16GB 3200 Disabling SMT from bios seems to solve it completely. There was a Windows update as well, so... ign: AlecVonBoldwin
