Why Headhunter is not nerfed when Summoners are dead?

While we are already on page 11 I am still wondering what the one thing has in common with the second one... Like, why compare HH to summoner? It´s just so random that this thread is more hilarious than it can be taken seriously :D

It´s like "why is harvest OP but valdos rest got harbinger for free"?

I mean, they are two OP things, with minions making the game accessible to more players, and HH a toy for 1%.

It is an interesting fact that GGG nerfs anything that increases accessibility to more players (another way to say, allows endgame without major investment), but doesnt to the most broken single item in the game.

(I dont fully agree with OP, just clarifying).

Let me put my perspective on that, because I can´t agree at all with the statement HH should be nerfed.

HH is not OP. In my definition "OP" counts as something that beat ANY other option and is way too good to ignore it. Example for that were in my eyes the Aura-Stackers last season. Pretty much any spell was better with Aura-Stacking, rendering many other different approaches obsolete. Why does that not count for Headhunter? Because Headhunter is not universally useful. It has literally 0 impact when bossing, it is not reliable or useful when delving, it requires a certain speedy playstyle to make use out of it AND there are tons of builds on which it doesn´t do really that well, for example Toxic Rain (or the one I am playing for that point). Don´t get me wrong, I am not deying its possible impact. But you have a ton of opportunity cost to use it reliably:

1. The huge price tag (For that money of currently around 72ex you can build 2 fully geared other builds that can clear the game).
2. The missing resistances you need to make up for on other gear slots, while belts are typically Res-Slots.
3. The corner u get put in in terms of choosing a build that utilizes it at full potential: Aoe-Scaling, Elemental Conversion, possibly ES, possibly curse reflection etc.

As you see if you check out my gear I am very capable of getting my hands on one, and I have chosen specifically to not play headhunter on this particular build. Kinda speaks against the "its op"-status already.

As for the "GGG wants to nerf acessible stuff" - nope, just simply not true. As many others pointed out, Minions are still doing VERY fine in Endgame. The assumption they are dead, unsuable or whatever is simply wrong and that is confirmed by statistics if you check out poe.ninja. The only reason so many low-level-plebs cry is they lack the game-understanding and can´t handle somewhat balanced gems. They always have to follow guides and play the most strong build to achieve anything.

I agree with this post. HH’s power is often overstated in these threads; it’s nothing like the OP builds that sometimes dominate the game and stomp out other endgame options, like aurastacking last league (and many other setups in many leagues).

Really, the game needs more chase uniques like HH.
We're all in this leaky boat together, people.
Fun facts.....

1. the 99% are the obvious majority.
2. the 99% funds the game for the 1% simple math and because point 1
3. the 99% should be able to play the game as the 1% because point 1
4. the 99% are most affected by nerfs because point 1
5. the 99% complaine just as mutch as the 1% but it looks way more because point 1

the 1% should stop bashing the 99% and never forget without the 99% they wouldnt have a game to play.

Another fun fact - most games are balanced around people who know what they are doing and can push their limits, not around casuals who are yet to learn.
Yet another fun fact - Bela Lugosi was buried in his Dracula costume.
I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.

Huh, I think it should be buffed. Way too weak in its current state.
I have three phones, Blizzard. Three f***ing phones.

thats why you have 15 challenges completed right?
IMO the right thing would be to hit it with something like 50% less item quantity.

When you get this easy mode, super expensive piece of bragging rights, you shouldn't be able to use it for farming. That only creates a rift between those who have it and those who do, with the latter being able to accumulate currency and better gear much faster.

Farming faster should also mean farming being more difficult. HH breaks that.
