" It is not really "concluded". It has just been moved to another forum where the discussion can continue. And different persons can give the same feedback/opinions or ask the same questions, I dont think that is prohibited or harmful in any way. If you have a series of people coming in expressing the same opinion/feedback, it is called a trend and is indicative that something is up. It is actually what feedback is all about. |

The conversation, which was never wasteful nor undeserving of existence, has been relocated. I hope many more comments are to come. There are some very interesting posts in here, notably Dave's, with whom I emotionally/viscerally disagree but logically find myself unable to counter.

" For starter's I am glad you pointed out the fact that "you wish to seperate yourself from being ethical" now, because obviously it was wrong for me and society to expect "you"...... to be ethical. (So why should anyone trust you? if you, yourself do not wish to be held in good standing(for fear it reflect's badly on you and other's. truely sad, that you do not wish this "But you would be out of a job if this were true in reality").) You believe yourself and others to have a singular "right", to disregard other's wishes for their property or to attempt to create a sporting enviroment within a game. And you like to "truth-claim" that you yourself do not engange in this activity that you are trying to condone against the owner's wishes. You can clearly been seen to give the image of nothing more than a hypocrite. " The majority/minority(An unknowable amount here) the "developer's themselves" who do not wish this, would be deeply hurt and offended. The unknowable value they place on this intrustion cannot be estimated either. And as such an un-calculateable amount of damage would be done to the community. Steroids: I never said they were "Illegal" you pooped that out yourself. I had already taken what you consider to be "Illegal and not Illegal" into account before speaking for this very purpose. And now, I find you are the one confused. Ironic. We have two ethical concepts not made illegal, but punishable for non-compliance...Regardless of health and safety on one hand, And both come down to the arguement of "universal law's" as they are the foundation for fair competition. And both concepts are held with dis-content and thus shuned and punished. --- And even more interesting you think I am imposing my own ethic's..... Seriously, the same arguement could be made for you aswell. (And please note, my own personal ethic's are probably absolutely barbaric compared to what im trying to uphold) But unfortunatly unlike yourself, these are not my own ethics, I did not invent them on the spot. These are long held ethical values I am trying to uphold and you and the few others here filled with discontent, are the ones putting them through their paces to change for "Your agenda". Moral absolutism - You but mearly need look into a mirror. To be perfectly honest, you are argueing against the current day ethics in the wrong place. Take it to court, and come back with a new ethics decision, because you would really need to reinvent society as a whole or this community to get your way. Untill then. You would be beter asking the owner's of this game what they think about your proposal. O wait, they already answered. www.tachi203.com : For live streams, gameplay, news of me +(. I think using money to get an advantage in video game goes against the idea of playing video games (or any games).
Are you playing to have fun and to feel accomplished after "beating the last boss" or are you playing it so you can spend money on something to get ahead of others? Buying gold for any MMO, what's the point of playing said MMO if you're not gonna dedicate time to it? If it's not so important to you that you don't feel the need to waste time grinding it, why are you even spending money on it? There's an endless list of better things you could be doing with your money. Buying an epic sword for Diablo 3, again, what sense of accomplishment does this bring? Why are you spending even more money on this game if you don't intend to actually play it? You're stealing yourself hours of game play you should be enjoying, not paying to skip. "Paying to win" defeats the purpose of even playing the video games in the first place. Last edited by xxnoob#7582 on May 7, 2012, 8:46:10 PM

" I also agree that 3rd party vendors wont stop because of an EULA. The only way to make them take notice would be to actually try to enforce those EULA which again means the same old catch them and ban them policing strategy that never really worked. |

" ...for you and I, perhaps. And other gamers who understand the nature of the game. But for the Charlie Sheens out there, it's all about winning. And you have to pay a price to win. Whether that's time (gaming) or money (not-gaming-probably-working), there's a price. I choose not to play games where that price is a factor *for me*. You can't dictate how others will play. You just can't, not these days. You can only regulate how you will play -- and choose games where the possibility of the morals of others in this regard will not somehow affect the repercussions of your own. Of course, my gripe with Blizzard's approach is they're just not being honest in the fact that it's going to make them a lot of money. Even if it's white-knighting, even if it's removing the middle-man. It's going to make them a lot of money. I've played pay-2-win before and almost, almost got sucked in. Very close. But that was on an inherently free MMO. I think that if a game has a RRP, that should be the bulk of the profit that game makes. Of course, that means I'm against most premium MMOs as well -- yes, yes I am. Lord knows what I'd do if GW2 went rrp+subscription... If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. " As stated, there is "Alot" more hope with PoE in comparison to other games for reasons that AgentDave and myself were talking about awhile ago in this thread have shown when it comes to enforceing an EULA this time round :) Give them a chance to try. Rather than overkill at everyones expense. www.tachi203.com : For live streams, gameplay, news of me +(.

" So if you don't mind so called "pay2win" then you don't understand the nature of the game? I dunno if anyone told you this yet, but you really are full of yourself. |

" And you yourself for putting it out there and myself for correcting you :) Sounds like we are all, "full of ourselves"...Probably because we are all literaly..full of ourselves. www.tachi203.com : For live streams, gameplay, news of me +(.
