Sounds good man. GGG you hear that dog!!!!!????? "Please provide different contracts "Per Region"... It sucks balls... And its probably alot to ask. But if you wana make this work the way we all want it to. Your just gonna have to do it, "The ball is in your court now". Glad to see a resolution to this thread. RMAH/EULA.... GGG, lets see what you decide to roll with. But for heavens sake, we would appreciate you putting in the effort and not going down the RMAH route....As we all just want a frigun standard "A.H"... and for you to keep the farmer's away by making the farmer's and seller's to scared to even try. :) Because "we know" you can now.(Just IP block the places where you cant do it, save us some time.)

They've already said they're not going the RMAH route. Why does this keep coming up?

The whole "paid stash tabs" thing raises some concern for me too. It seems that at most, non-paying players will be inconvenienced. However, slowing a player down means they will have less time to grind for exp/loot, thus putting the paying player at an advantage. I'll agree that his(Agentdave's) solutions would be wholly unworkable, but he is raising a serious point.

I didn't for a moment say that there needed to be a solution, I was just pointing out that it's not really "Pay for power" which people have a problem with, as how much power exactly you're paying for.

A small amount (stash tabs) is clearly ok. Orbs or Uniques aren't. Respecs generally seem to be not ok (but I think that's silly. Unlike an item that may never drop, you have X skill points at X level. But anyway...)

Just sayin'... QED?

Sorry which interpretation of QED are you going after?(Im not trying to be rude...sry)

1) And thats the end of it

or

2) Its plausable that "all" is not acurate and more may enevitably pop-up? in the future?.

If its 2, you just correct it for the changes(Kinda self explainitory, "as in" the following couple words you missed out after you cut the quote short.

Eg.

More time spent organizing inventory = less time spent grinding for orbs.

Not really.

The advantage of getting the extra chaos/regal orbs is significant. A player who never shells out a penny could do it - by losing that time (and then some...) swapping accounts, setting up trades with himself, and so on.

Even if you take an hour organizing your stash to get those regals, you are (statiscally) gaining - you don't find 1 regal an hour. You don't even find 1 chaos an hour. I've found 0 regals and 4 chaos in about 15 hours of play.

Plus, a single account can use the web addon, to save time, because they just have to find the matches - multiple accounts can't. You have to do it manually and cross account, requiring using pen and paper or a spreadsheet or something to track which account has which rares.

And that's just the rares (Which admittedly is the biggest part) - you still have the advantage of having room for multiple sets (eg, cold resist for Hailrake.), easier trading (indicated down the road - publically viewable stash tabs. Although I suppose that's still it's own tranaction, but still one that gives an ingame advantage. Just, again, a small one.), and so on.
To be fair, the web addon can aggregate from multiple accounts, it's just not currently programmed to do so.

The biggest hurdle by far is the simple fact you have to switch accounts as a free player... which imo is totally acceptable.

Part of the perk of being a paid account is having everything at your disposal on the account you are buying cosmetics for... this includes playable character slots and space for their stuff.

I feel these are necessary additions to support a paying account, and while I agree that they do increase a tiny amount of time saved, which theoretically can translate into power, it's actually quite difficult to quantize if it does increase power by virtue of storing stuff... or if not being able to store as much stuff actually causes a player to be overall more efficient, optimizing their time and space to the point where they'll actually end up ahead.

Without a case study or 1000 it's actually not possible to tell... and the answer more than likely lies somewhere between, where there is an optimal amount of slots to have before you should force yourself to be less of a pack-rat.

That said... this has nothing to do with a RMAH :P

I support this idea, I think a RMAH would be great, not saying that I myself would ever use it, but i know that people will be buying and selling items none the less. This way you can keep it tracked and make money for the game other then those bot companies that use websites with key loggers. But I doubt that POE devs will have enough sense to implement something like this.

Remember POE is trying to mimic other games, not be a innovative force.
An off-topic topic going off-topic and strangely resembling a topic on-topic.

If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

no u

Maybe if people bothered to read this wouldn't be a 35 page long thread.

That's the problem with threads that balloon to 30 pages over a course of several days. Most people start repeating each other because they can't be bothered to spend hours keeping up with them. And among the people that do, they are either emotionally invested already, or become so in the course of spending so much time, decreasing the overall rationality of the arguments.

I'm not entirely sure what the solution is, but it will get more and more of a problem as PoE gets released and the community grows in size. As with any decently sized community. Long threads are never coherent, and it's not clear what to do to keep threads on controversial subjects short.
