Gotta say GGG's cycle of nerfing and buffing the same skills is getting tiresome
Like I said: 'getting tiresome'? It's been this way for years. You're citing examples I know nothing about because I jumped ship long ago. Pretty sure I don't have to know anything about them to understand your concerns though. And whatever hope we may have had for a healthy development/testing cycle went riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight out the window the moment it became apparent that part of the Tencent acquisition deal was that the New Zealand-based company called Grinding Gear Games would provide them with a new league at regular intervals.
I can honestly think of no more logical or reasonable explanation why an already precarious development schedule would be embraced and sold as the norm. That PoE leagues launch with inadequate testing is the most obvious open secret in the game's history. The standard explanation we conjure is some form of 'new content sells support packs, and support packs keep the game going, therefore new content is good, regardless of quality'. Probably not untrue, but sooner or later support pack sales should start to dwindle if quality drops that hard. OTOH it's a free to play game and the mtxes are reasonable compared to most f2p games so people still give them a lot of leeway there. They're still willing to support because what they love far outweighs what they don't. I expect you're not too different there. You might hold off on supporting, but you're going to play Heist, right? No matter what you say here, you're going to play their game. Or you won't, in which case I applaud you standing by your words and following through. But I'm not getting a sense from what you've said that you're quite there yet... If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

" How dare you. I can quit anytime I want to. |

" Yeah, I said the same thing about the forum when I asked Chris to delete my main account. I'm definitely no holier than thou in this one. We all have something we're constantly quitting. We get very good at it. Until we actually do, or we accept that it's all a farce, a leftover from when throwing a tantrum was the best recourse and...maybe we sort of enjoy it. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

" Recovery on block has no relation to or part of glancing blows. Glancing blows costs one point and provides huge power for that 1 point. No, the 7 extra points your build spends to path there do not count towards a nodes individual power. It was an offender with or without the on block effects. |

" dude, really? of course the recovery on block is not part of glancing blows...my goodness, but that's a strong if not the strongest incentive to take glancing blows for that recovery. yes, it is an offender and it is too easily accessible. that's exactly my point! how could they not see this and take it out of legion jewels? “Human decency is not derived from religion. It precedes it.”

You must not have read patch notes. They say straight up the es/life on block was a major factor in the nerf. Which to be fair was exaggerated by harvest crafting making the mods so easy to obtain (سಥ益ಥ)س (سಥ益ಥ)س (سಥ益ಥ)س (سಥ益ಥ)س (سಥ益ಥ)س (سಥ益ಥ)س (سಥ益ಥ)س Last edited by RitualMurder#3177 on Sep 17, 2020, 12:59:33 PM
