Why, I ASK why is it to damn hard to kill Bosses
" Now , there is your problem... It's not poe, it's the fact that you are used to easy mode... Think about it, this game has HC ladder and people actually reach level 100 on HC. It is not the bosses or the design , it is you who either need to learn the game or the mechanic or learn to play games in general, considering D3 is not a game, more like a press the play button we will gear you in the next 10 minutes, then you wait for the next season to start . Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.

" Speaking of 300, I just got my first necro born out of Metamorph to 95 right before hitting her 300th death. I don't even remember getting her 86% of the way there before she went into standard. Her death was pretty sudden too, just a rare rock boss that rolled over her less than a minute of hitting 95 in that same thicket map. It was juiced up a bit by a torment ghost, but still... Yep, totally over league play.

" He said that this game has a hardcore mode. A game mode where you only have one life, where people have reached level 100 many times. and then there's you who die hundreds of times before getting into maps. The problem isn't the game. That's all. |

" Are you playing with your feet? 300 deaths and not to maps yet? If this isn't a troll post, then I'd re-think my game strategy after the 20th death of learning a new game. |

I have thousands of hours of play time in poe and act 1 bosses are terrible after some patch a while back
new merveil is stupid overtuned lots of builds having trouble with brutus too as well as oversoul in a2 what about witch in a8 which just straight 1 shots tanky characters what about crab boss with tiny arena where everything is white on white and lightning hits do ton of damage What about Malacai where also the whole floor is spammed with damaging effects that are hard/impossible to see. luckly by this time my characters usually do enough damage to ignore that. what about last kitava where the whole arena sometimes is in effects vomit if I am having trouble with some of these I cannot even imagine frustration of new players its also really stupid that this game cannot be played without a lot of 3rd party tools starting with path of building without which no one even knows how to build a character or would this item be an upgrade over this one because it is so obfuscated. " The fact of the matter is that the vast majority of gamers, across all games, don't research their game via 3rd party resources. In fact, most PoE'ers don't even use the 3rd party trading sites, either (mostly due to ignorance of existence rather than refusal despite knowing). But games LIKE PoE more or less *rely* on these 3rd party resources for maximized gameplay experiences. (Diablo 2 was the same way, with Arreat Summit.) So I just wanted to be clear that it's not really something to... directly fault a player for? Although I personally feel like, "Why wouldn't you do this," that's just my opinion. But objectively speaking, it's the game's job to do these things, not the 3rd party resources. And most people ARE casual gamers. |

if were talking about the acts progression... really there's only 2 notable bosses (a5 innocence and a10 kitava).
i'd even suggest ramping up the difficulty for all bosses except innocence and kitava. |

Bosses and even some rares (cultist of kitava, those stupid Dark Souls copy-cat monsters in Act 5 and Act 10 that climb up off the railings in whatever area that is) have disproportionately more health than 99% of the enemies around them. For mapping it's fine but it's so weird to play with a new friend and get to Innocence and both of us get obliterated by his stupid bullet-hell-touhou-fireball garbage.
But the reason for that are a few things: Bad resists, low health, low damage. Since they last quadrupled the amount of health everything has it seems GGG really wants you to link up and gear up earlier than you used to be able to. The campaign is still as effortless as ever if you don't try using a 3 link with a bunch of 1-socket auras for all 10 acts. |

" You are looking at this the wrong way. GGG wants the game to be hard for players. Players then created tools to make their lives easier. GGG notices and makes the game harder. GGG is not making the tools ON PURPOSE. However if people keep making it easier to “solve” the content they are going to keep making it harder still. If anyone is to blame for requiring third party tools, it is the third party tools themselves. GGG doesn’t want new players to put in zero effort and crush the game, which sadly is the EXPECTATION of said new players. Since they have no control over the third parties, but do of their game, they adjust in the way they have access to do so, making the content harder. Now where we can argue is on if they are actually making the game “harder” or just more tedious. Last edited by fomori2#4773 on Jun 29, 2020, 5:10:19 PM
