Why, I ASK why is it to damn hard to kill Bosses
" For me it just seems that GGG dont want ppl to play this game for a long time, well only the "super geeks" those people who want to spend 10000 of hours looking at PoB and other "shit".. .what about "normal" people who want to have fun and chill and have a decient chance to go thoug the game without dying all the time. GGG should have made as Blizzard has done with Diablo3, added level so you can progress when you get stronger, and get stronger = better loot.. That is not rocket sicence..... |

" If you want to progress as you get stronger try this: Wrecker of Days SloMo Zombies https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2874072 There are complete noobs getting to 90 right now, it's VERY relaxed and extremely chill, requires nothing, just read and ask questions and you will be in red maps and rolling in loot. I helped an open Beta supporter get his first ever 90 last league, and it's almost TWICE as strong this league! Wrecker has certain disabilities that cause him "troubles". So he makes easy to play super fun one button builds that require NOTHING! Go check out his guide and learn how to play POE, please. I play tested this build by rerolling an 86 occultist, I was a 94 necro in 2 days! It is fun and effortless and has a good Witch Dr vibe if you are longing for that. It was even more witch doctory when it was cold, but pure phys is fun too :) I will wear your ghost and you will die twice, against me and for me. That is some cold blooded shit to say... Bosses do have a lot more HP these days. If they didn't give master missions I would just skip them.
You need just around 300k AOE dps to clear T16s easily but the map boss with that dps can take 20 seconds. So you need more dps for map bosses which means you can't play some quirky build that clears maps fine but struggles vs bosses. |

Eh the acts aren't tough, I see the biggest problem is new folks following a build built for endgame and expecting all of the pieces to be there through the entire playthrough.
All you really need is a 4 link "main" damage skill (something that pack clears ok) and a 2 link moveskill. Gear just focus on resists and secondarily health (don't level with ES unless you have some experience, it scales great endgame but sucks early). Attack skills need to upgrade weapon to keep damage up (there are cheap vendor recipes to make generic "OK" weapons too). Spells don't even need that since primary damage is off of the gem level (gear giving that gem level is super nice but not mandatory during acts). Basics: 1) Don't expect to have a fully functional build from level 1, use what works best and transition once you get key pieces in place 2) Some sort of sustain for health/mana from the tree or items. Early tabula is cool but mana sustain on a 6 link isn't lol. 3) Resists, life, and defensive layers are great for standard spammy attacks, but big "telegraphed" attacks are designed NOT to be facetanked - use mobility / moveskills! Many bosses are "technical" in nature so pay attention to their attack patterns and you can figure out pretty quickly what you need to do to beat them after a few tries... with experience they get pretty trivial. |

Huh, with my latest character I died maybe a dozen times during the acts. Then, to my surprise, I was able to go directly to tier 6 maps. And I am definitely a casual player, without top gear, and objectively not very good at the game. I have never used any guide - I make my own builds based on what I find and see in the tree.
I think it mainly takes awareness that the game is designed so that you need to invest a lot in defense - much more than in offense. That and some thought and planning. not enough time for gaming!

" Well, I died like 45 times this league during story (most them on acts 1 - 7), but it was more because I had very low ressistances and life in general. But once I got my 2nd ascendancy, got some gear upgrades, etc, it wasn't hard, A10 Kitava was a deathless breeze. Just try to have a good gear, capped ressists, good life. |

What's killing you in act 1? Water fissures? Don't stand in them.
What's killing you in act 2? Slam and beam? Don't stand in them. What's killing you in act 3? Her monologue? Turn sound down. What's killing you in act 4? Tentacles? Don't stand in them. What's killing you in act 5? Beams, fire breath? Don't stand in them. What's killing you in act 6? Hurricane, Lightning? Don't stand in them. What's killing you in act 7? Beams, ground fire? Don't stand in them. What's killing you in act 8? Beams? Don't stand in them. What's killing you in act 9? Slow giant red orb? Don't stand in it. What's killing you in act 10? Forgetting what not to do in act 5? Super Complicated Secret High Tier Strats To 1 Shot Bosses: Movement Key. Last edited by JoeShmo#1872 on Jul 2, 2020, 3:48:03 PM

The main act bosses are designed to check your character and abilities. If you are having trouble, you need to work on possibly both equipment and/or play style. Honestly if I die during any of the main campaign it is either because I am rushing through and not paying attention or I did something wrong. Part of that is obviously because I have played (casually) for 8 years and understand the mechanics of the bosses. The funny thing is they have nerfed many of the early act bosses from where they used to be.
At the same time, I have always hated how GGG made the general mobs nothing more than weeds getting taken out by a lawn mower and then bosses be that much different. But it is what it is and I don't see them changing that. A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

" You might be right, but I bet that GGG will get more players (to play even more) if they lower the boss strength, so it give a fair chance for ppl to move on without dying all the time, and ppl who dont play no more = less money in their pocket, since players who quits dont buy more stuff like ekstra stash expansion etc etc..... |

" At least 75% ressists and good life as I've read somewhere else, but starting all over just seems like BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING..... |
