hey op, i'm only working on white maps atm, but soon will dabble in yellow mellow and so far no issues sustaining uncompleted maps. btw, take advantage of Zana missions to refresh her voluptuous inventory at the proper time.

Like reading the guy above me "i've had no problems - but i've bought maps to fill out the atlas" ... well guess what gets you more drops? Having more connections.
If you're going to quote me, quote me properly.
What I said was that I haven't had "many" issues with sustain - there were a few instances where I had to drop down a couple of tiers briefly.
One time purchases of white maps, whether from Zana or other players, to boost early game atlas completion is nothing new - I've done the same thing in every league as early investment into atlas completion bonuses has always been one of the best ways to increase map drops across the board.
The few yellow and early red maps I bought (again, for completion bonuses, not because I was out of maps or needed the connections) were bought out of pure impatience, not necessity - as I already had the connections to drop them naturally over time.
Hope that clears things up.
Not at all..... so you bought maps that completed connections and make more maps drop. That's what I just said... more connections = more drops. The reason you did action X doesn't really matter to me at all.
Maybe get offended less easily or put some effort into understanding others>
I think maps are dropping far less frequently than the past 2 leagues and with the huge amount required for conquerors past A4 I am not enjoying it at all when I can go 5 maps and not get one refill in the 14-16 range. I have also bought maps / made a lot of connections but acknowledge how some people could be having a ton of trouble.
Hopes that clears things up.

Delirium didn't even have the "good" map drop rate, it just was rewarding enough to make map investment worthwhile. It also provided ample currency to do it.
Yep, totally over league play.

I guess I'll add my own anecdotal evidence to all the other anecdotal evidence in this thread - I'm at 25 watchstones and I haven't had many issues with map sustain.
I leveraged my garden to alch/chaos spam maps as needed for high pack size mods, didn't really use chisels on anything below t13, always did master missions and their extensions (safehouse, temple, etc.), always ran vaal side areas, used sextants on 4-stacked regions (never bought any sextants, just used the ones that dropped for me), used fragments and scarabs on high density maps, and probably the three most important things - 1) I cleared every single map down to as close to 0 mobs remaining as I could tolerate, 2) I focused on completing atlas bonus objectives, and 3) I did my research on watchstone management to ensure smooth atlas progression moving upwards and no wasted map drops.
Currently, I'm slammin through t14-t16's to fill out my remaining watchstones and I seem to be sustaining without problems. I did buy some maps here and there - not because I ran out of maps, but because I wanted those maps to fill out my atlas bonus... most of those were white maps early on and cheap unique maps. I bought a small handful of yellow and cheap red maps (nothing over 5-6c) for the same reason - missing atlas bonuses, not because I ran out of maps.
Maybe it's possible that there are people out there who are doing everything right and are getting legitimately screwed but tbh I wouldn't be surprised if many of the complaints are sourced from atlas mismanagement.
edit:
There were a few instances when I was just getting into quad watchstone regions where I had to go back and farm t12's or t13's for a bit but it didn't take long to get back into deep reds. People in this thread who claim to drop from red maps all the way down to white maps are just uhh... idk dude, that 100% sounds like a you problem and not a problem with the league.
Yes, I drop from red maps to white maps. So what is my problem lol and why is it not the league problem?
Can a pro player like you please explain properly?

Early mapping is easy sustain but once you get to the T9-T12 is when it is tough getting to sustain up the red maps required for 4 watchstone regions which means getting into the T14-16 and then actually sustaining is much more difficult from previous leagues. Due to the unrewarding mechanics of this league in regards to bonus item drops.

You do realize one of the common options of Harvest craft is to sacrifice low tier maps to get master missions, don’t you?
And that orchard fights reward you with maps too?
Play the game before criticizing it.
...you do realize that through your challenge progress we can see that you A) have only 3 watchstones B) haven't done a wild bristle matron bulb encounter yet (the "common" tier 3 seed you speak of)
Seems to me you should consider your own advice and give mapping a try before dismissing these concerns.
Map sustain is pretty horrid this league harvesting or no.

I think GGG silent ninja nerfed the map drops so you cannot push the harvest league boss too fast for the laptop reward.
I am level 88 and I haven't even done a T10 map :). Worse league ever for me...
If I didn't get lucky hitting a "corrupted blood cannot be inflicted on you" on a spreading rot, I wouldn't have gear to be honest.
I am not complaining, just that I think GGG over stepped silent nerfing everything for the sake of a laptop competition .
