I personally don't consider the idea that Harvest is too much of a gamble to be an informed opinion when it can do things that are 100% safe and can guarantee modifiers. This forum is also obsessed with player drop off numbers and quitting the league, so I imagine so many don't bother with learning the crafting mechanic since it's so unpopular.

why do people call this "non-rng" now? can someone help me? as far as I know you still have to gamble with a more narrow area of shit that can happen to your item


An example is the amulet.

There's only 2 chaos mods, so 2 chaos augments on a hunter amulet with 2 free prefixes will hit life chaos leech and +1 chaos gems.

There's only 2 suffixes. Chaos dot multi and chaos resistance.

The same goes with the wand if you craft a wand sub ilvl 64.

Having a ton of super dense fossil craft makes it quite easy to get high es and you can remove unwanted mods like life afterwards.

Furthermore you can add influence to the bars you want. Yeah you might need multiple tries, but you will still end up with the influenced items you need.

In my head this popped up too, the thought that harvest crafting (there lol) is so much better.
It is indeed but still RNG everywhere but in smaller chunks.

there is no rng in trade league, cause u can trade for the crafts u need. and if u play ssf, then yes there is rng, but u dont play ssf, cause then u would celebrate harvest league.

I played trade league and I only ever gave into the temptation to buy like... one or two things for my Melee character because I can just craft an item instead of just buying it and even then the big thing I bought was a Crusader's Orb so I could craft a belt rather than just buying the belt that looked like what I wanted.

The biggest RNG element wasn't even crafting the items. It was finding influenced bases. Getting the right base is literally more than half of the crafting process.

People in this thread keep citing RNG as some kind of "gotcha" and are refusing to acknowledge that you're still going to be able to make way better items than you could before and without needing to know all of the crafting tricks that costs exalts to do.
