Nah, it'll be back to grinding for loot. A core value of the aRPG experience. This is a good thing.

This league is the closest we've ever gotten to actually grinding for loot. Every previous league has just been accumulating fuckloads of currency if you want to progress your gear, this time I can actually say "here is the item I want, here is how I can progressively make something like it without just shitting 1000 exalts down the drain with metacrafts or eternals." You can definitely argue that the garden is clunky, the league feels empty or boring, or that the crafts are too available, but I find it hard to see how the gearing progression this league is not the best and most satisfying it's ever been (unless you enjoy playing market simulator with the RMT'ers.)
There's no powercreep here. Creep implies it's slow and could be overlooked, this is a full out sprint.
To call harvest the best league so far is as far from the truth as "we had a good gear progression" has always been.

The crafting bench coming with it is nice, the complete rest isnt.

for the sake of having us doing some nonsense they ve put this garbage-seed-crap into this game so we have to "grind".

devoid of fun we chase for the sweet augment-crafts every few maps- hopefully at least, whoever calls this a "best league" didnt play legion, delve or betrayal
admittedly all with their flaws but none was boring.

I will really miss the crafting, yes. But I would sacrifice it to never see this garden again, of course I wouldnt mind a second crafting bench with just these crafts...and no im not responsible for balancing that, I just want that and I dont care if its too easy I want fun and not a job.

You could say this will cut your "fun" in the long term by lack of motivation but for the first time I dont feel stupid picking up rares with decent mods....or id them to see if they have good mods

It's a good thing then, that there is no "truth" here, only opinions.

It is not the worst league ever. The crafting is SUPERB. You can craft many things that you never dreamed of and I really mean that. you can craft a set of monstrous items for a build with just 30-40 ex. But I understand that the mechanic of the league is quite underwhelming and unappealing. Bear in mind that this is some sort of experiment to see how ''target'' crafting would affect the players mentality and the overall longevity of the game. They are testing the waters to see how healthy it is to go to a certain depth of accessibility of top tier items.

I have my self got burnt out faster this league than other leagues due to the mechanic it self but I definitely have enjoyed the crafting this league has offered. Hopefully a similar system will be revised and added to POE2.

Don't try to hold it, flow with it.
why craftin bad?

Grinding for loot? A core value, I agree. Grinding for currency to buy your progression? Not so much a "core value". Crafting is just as much a core value as trading is, and far more rewarding.

The best thing, though, would be to increase the quality of (non-currency) loot, which they are working on.

Grinding for currency to buy your item is a good thing as well. Just a different kind of grind.

Playing farmville and needing a PhD to horde tons of Horticrafting stations to deterministically create a god tier weapon = not a core value, in fact, it's the total opposite.

I'm not really persuaded by the whole "core value" argument here.

Grinding for loot takes time, and when you find "that item" it can be extremely rewarding. This is a core value to the aRPG experience. Brevik and Chris have talked about this.

Again, not feeling the whole using a philosophical approach to ARPG design to make an argument, especially in a way that implies that making crafting a bigger part of the game (as it always should have been IMO, the crafting aspects are what set PoE apart from other games) is somehow fundamentally wrong.

You are also assuming that you somehow don't grind loot this league which I don't necessarily agree with. I grinded quite a bit looking for six-link div cards, certain influenced bases I needed (or conqueror's orbs), and even Shaper maps to look for things I need to craft.

Sure, trading does belong in PoE. But you have to admit it has been rather... Prominent as of late?

Don't embarrass yourself. You finding it tedious and boring is fine, subjectivity and all. But planting a seed, harvesting a seed and using the lifeforce on an item does not require a PhD. You just spit in the face of every person out there with a PhD, and called yourself rather [Removed by me].

Harvest crafting is FAR less complex than crafting used to be in this game. You being too [Removed by me] to understand something, does not put the mechanic in a bad light.
