" Exactly ! Make Harvest core if it's what it takes to make you stop, but then no more new crafting leagues please ! |

" --- Even though I am only so-so on Harvest the base game is so much better than in the past. The leagues that TreeofDead references were a joke compared to even the worst league post 3.0 (maybe Harvest). When it get's right down to it Harvest can only be legitimately compared to post 3.0+ leagues. Even Breach - likely the best "old" league was saddled with the old masters system and the old atlas and no scarabs, etc. At the end of the day Harvest is fine, it was me that was being stubborn not wanting to build the damn garden or do the research to figure out what stuff to craft. When I finally chilled out about not being able to loot explosion my way to 20ex in the first few weeks Harvest has been a good learning experience - painful to get up to speed, but good thereafter. |

"This league is extremely boring."
This was my original post in this thread. I'd say it was about 1-2 weeks into the league. To give some context as to why I said that I'll attempt to articulate my thoughts and experience in hopes of giving some clarity of feedback for the GGG team and the community as a whole. As for my play-style, I generally do the main story , progress through maps, do all of the end-game bosses and then settle down and mostly do alch-go style mapping with some super juiced maps in-between. I truly enjoy just plugging and playing, murdering massive amounts of monsters as fast as I can just for the love of it. Because of this, I find myself veering away from content that has tedious time spent as a prerequisite, or a form preparation, in favor of content that I can enjoy faster. Hence my favoring alch-go over methodical superjuice. Enter Harvest league. Given what I have said above about my need-for-speed play-style, the extreme contrast from the previous Delirium league was at first quite overwhelming for me. The sudden transition from every map being packed to the brim with monsters and the glorious destruction of evil with every pack explosion just a click away to maps being barren without substantial investment, well, needless to say, was quite disappointing to me. My favorite way to play was yanked and replaced with something I never had much interest in: Crafting. So there I was, about two weeks into the league, little time spent on the new harvest mechanics other than picking up the seeds, messing around a little with the structures in the garden and being frustrated with the daunting task ahead of having to watch youtube videos to understand this whole thing, then spend all the time micromanaging every piece to match up perfectly to the design so that I can efficiently use the content to do something I didn't even want to do: craft. It was around this time when I posted the comment "This league is extremely boring." Well here I am now. Having done all that was required of me, begrudgingly although it may be, to understand what harvest has to offer and then taking advantage of it, I have to say that I fear the removal of the harvest content because I've come to enjoy the ability to make my own items from the ground up. It truly feels so satisfying to have completed a character building each item from my own efforts, piece by piece, mod by mod. The feeling of not being able to make upgrades to my gear without extremely substantial amounts of currency in trade is relieved and replaced with a optimistic projection towards the future of knowing that it is coming in time. Truly feels wonderful to know that I CAN get all the gear I want through my own efforts. So, I guess I was a bit hasty with my judgments. Harvest is not extremely boring, it's just different. Still would be great to have Delirium every map though :3 :3

I really loved delirium. Harvest for me is so bored. i stopped after 2 weeks.

" Deli was ok but had major design problems where 99% of map layouts were incompatible with the poorly implemented fog mechanic and zoom zoom build was mandatory. Cluster jewels should have been tweaked, not completely decimated. Best league design was 3.4 Delve. 2018 was a great year for PoE fans. |

harvest is the best league so far, you can even craft your own gear, or buy good gear that isn't priced for mirror, but that bald man wants us to feel excited for good drops, which doesn't exist in this game, you will never get anything valuable, so after harvest its back to trash gear

" Nah, it'll be back to grinding for loot. A core value of the aRPG experience. This is a good thing. " Grinding for loot? A core value, I agree. Grinding for currency to buy your progression? Not so much a "core value". Crafting is just as much a core value as trading is, and far more rewarding. The best thing, though, would be to increase the quality of (non-currency) loot, which they are working on. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
