Will anyone try out Neverwinter when it hits OB? Also feedback on how the p2w is implemented

I hope they tweak the cash shop. Other than that mad props gameplay wise.

The game looks really good, a bit unbalanced as my rouge plowed through the mobs up to lvl 10, while great swords fighter had some troubles.

Foundry seems amazing, once good DMs get recognized, it will give imense longevity to the game, as you will be able to subscribe to their content and constantly get new amazing quests.

Having a lot of fun right now with Trickster rouge, so much nostalgia for Barldurs Gate 2 and original Neverwinter.

Funny I played right up to level 5 with not one second of lag or gesync. Not during creation or anywhere. Wonder why a GGG dev would say such a thing? Lmao.

Odd, that someone would experience gameplay abnormalities that you yourself do not. I wonder if that's exactly how it works with every game?

My ping is 200 ms, that´s the reason why i have no problems using guardian fighter. If my ping would be around 500 and 1000 ms, which happens if you live too far from the server (NZ-US), then i am pretty sure that i would experience the same troubles as the dev said here.

I downloaded Neverwinter today and so far so good. I'm going to take a nice little break from POE. Maybe when they add new content and make it worthwhile playing again i'll return.

I'm very positively surprised by the quality of NW. I really hope it isn't too p2w and that it has solid endgame content. I can see myself playing NW casually for a long time.

From what i have learnt of NW, the game is P2W but since it has recently opened the beta version, it really is not that bad, although as it happens in all of the games like these, the economy will suffer in the future.
There is only one thing that you cannot obtain if you do not pay, and that is an special class (drow). Also, there is stuff that you can only buyout with Zens, but all that stuff can be traded with other players, so you can still obtain those items if you have enough money or good items.
Also, i must say that the PvP is excellent...

I hate their blocking mechanic since there is no way to block with finesse. You have to do it well in advance or risk taking the hit. They need to figure out how Tera did it and go with that.

Honestly, I'm pretty much fed up with PoE, another lvl 70 character with ZERO upgrades dropped during the leveling process. Most of the game is still inaccessible to me (no crafting or trading as I don't have any currency, no chance to experiment with skills as I don't have 5L or 6L, still no multistrike, only crappy uniques, maps to hard etc)

Agreed. We will probably be seeing a lot of others make the switch as well. It's nice to see a silver supporter admit the truth. I wish some of the higher tiers would do the same.
