Will anyone try out Neverwinter when it hits OB? Also feedback on how the p2w is implemented

Yea OP, I've been itching to play a new MMO. I have it downloaded and patched. Heard some ok things about it, and some bad. But, we'll see how it goes.
Does anyone know any specifics on what time on the 30th OB is going to be available. Is it going to be like a PST release type of thing? Last edited by Laere#2957 on Apr 29, 2013, 12:12:55 PM

Sadly PW made the move i was afraid they would do. Made it P2W in their classic way. :(
End game content only availabel for those who pay for the items or are willing to spend the rest of their life to get them. Fuck Perfect world fuck it down a dumpster. "May those who accept their fate be granted happiness.

I played NWN 1 since it got released, it was awesome.
Then i played NWN 2 and it was a big let down. Now, with this P2W MMO, all that i anticipate is disappointment... But i will try the OB. I just hope that they create prestige classes and let us multiclass at certain point in the game. "The harder the game, the better." Last edited by Vold316#0180 on Apr 29, 2013, 4:43:12 PM

" This is based of 4e od DnD. No Multiclassing there, at least not in a classic sense that we are used to from previous NWN games (or even DDO). I also plan on trying the game when it hits OB, but I don't expect much from it. I hope combat will be more fun then SWTOR, as in less MMO like. I don't expect a good story, even SWTOR that prided themselves on story was pretty bad as all MMO are. |

I been playing it for the last day or so, at lvl 16 so far and been having a lot of fun doing quests and the foundry which is very nice depending on who made it i guess but the voting system helps a lot in determining a good dungeon or set of quests to do from the foundry... also I'm really liking the gameplay a lot betting then a lot of other MMO like wow or gw2, I find the combat to feel like a inbetween with guild wars 2 and diablo 3, combat feel good i find... I haven't try'd a skirmish or real dungeon yet but can't wait to see what it brings... and also, the dungeon map editor is really awesome, maybe after i finish a game and stuff ill make my own dungeon..

I'd quite honestly rather play DDO than this. It looks okay enough as a game but to name it after one of the most famous cities in one of the most famous D and D campaigns/worlds really is a punch in the gut to anyone who actually played D and D or even read those old TSR novels.
I watched some videos out of curiosity, saw people teleporting all over the place and was like 'no thank you.' If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. |

" You'd have more fun having a classic DnD night with some friends than playing neverwinter. You'd have more fun doing a lot of things rather than playing neverwinter, actually. |
