I agree to a point. I think the biggest thing for me is the orb of unlinking. If that orb had a way lesser chance to ruin a piece of equipment it would help the game quite a bit.
As far as people asking for exalts in trade...good luck. I trade gear for gear or I offer what I consider a fair price. If seller accepts great if they don't I move on. Point of fact is this item.. I wanted this, I offered 4 Chaos. 5 or 6 people whispered me that it was worth 2gcp but 1 guy was willing to trade for my Chaos. I thought 4 Chaos a fair price and wasn't willing to go higher and if that meant I didn't get the shield so be it. edit for a spelling error Crafting doesn't exist in POE. Gambling does...and the house always wins. Velocireptile - I LOL'ed. Which made me fart. Kinda the reason I'm stuck as a level 60 with ilevel 30-40 gear.
a bow I'm crafting just flat-out refuses to 5-link so my Lightning arrow isn't gimped, and any gear that might be an upgrade is considered to be worth an exalt or above, and will ignore me if I don't offer exalts for them. I'm sorry, I didn't sacrifice to the RNG gods and got ton of GCP/Exalted, I've seen 2 exalts through the life of 2 50+ characters. Fuck you and your 5L you think is worth an exalt, because I don't feel like it is. |

" Didn´t talk about the hidden recipes at all... Trade in your Alterations at the act 2 Vendor and get Jewellers for them, then trade those at the same vendor for fusings. Nothing hidden there, it is right in your face every time you open the vendor... And as early as Act 2 normal, that´s what? 4 hours into the game? Trading Fusings to Chaos you need other players for, but you will ALLWAYS find one willing to do so! That´s 16 Alts for 1 Chaos in the end. " 1) Real money Traders (RMT) try to manipulate ingame prices. If you see guys who offer items for such a absurd price, you can be sure he is a RMT-guy. This way he tryes to rise the need for Exalts which results in more people want to buy Exalts for real money from his ILIGAL shop! 2) "Traders" (player who don't realy play the game but only want to trade) are the curse for nearly all games. I know they don't understand it. But their doing destroys the fun for real players. Why? Becouse normal players who don't trade 24/7 have absolut NO changs anymore to pay the absurd prices. Well, maybe they do understand it (as most of them claim to be "super smart" as "they know how to get most with lowest afford"). But they for sure give a shit! It's the same in every game and D3 is a perfect excample. NOONE can grind 2.500.000.000 but there are more then enough items around this price for sell. If you research who trys to sell this items ... it's either a RMT-guy or a "trader". Both have the same goal: increase the need for currency to pimp their buisenes. " You mean the BOTTOM 3%? I am posting here so I may come back later and pm/reply to some of the memdbers, as I am at work and not able to get into this much at this time.
I have also been a bit frustrated and perplexed about how to obtain upgrades to my gear. That is the reason I am reading this post to begin with. I am still trying to learn much there is to learn about how to play this game and succeed. |

i trade 1 chaos for 3 fusings all the time.
I also traded 1 chaos for 100 orb of alts.... LOL! I love this currency system. The rest of the 'end-game' content will be available along with a heap of new stuff when the game launches in a few months time. From what I've seen it's going to be awesome. - Michael_GGG

Most of the times you don't really need chaoses, as ppl sell stuff for fusing at 2:1 rate. So you do alterations->jewelers->fusings at vendor and then just use fusings to pay for items. And if you just spend you time searching on http://Poe.xyz.is you will find a lot of stuff you can afford. You just need to realize that there is always an option to buy something a little worse but much cheaper because a lot of ppl with orbs pay insane amounts for the last 10-15% upgrade. For example i bought 15% cast speed, 75% damage for 1 chaos, and same scepter with 90% damage will cost 1 exalted.
