Is this person bullshi**ting?
" Off-Topic you mean? You said there's nothing to learn, when obviously there is. Just because someone reads a guide doesn't mean they'll understand what dots are in the game and how to deal with bleeds and other ailment effects. OP was asking if it was plausible for a new player to make that much progress in such little time. You say there's nothing to learn but include they have to read up (you know learn stuff) on freely available information online. It's disingenuous to say there's nothing to learn. You don't have to learn everything through direct in game experience, but there are definitely things a poe player needs to learn beyond the scope of a typical build guide. Yep, totally over league play.

" Well said, and to support this conclusion we need only look as far as the atlas evolution over several leagues. I remember a time when people struggled to understand why sextant blocking was relevant and optimal for farming. That was far more complicated than the sextant banking system we have now. This new system is far easier to understand considering that it only rewards you for atlas completion instead of ruining you're sextant blocks and map drops. I started playing years ago (when people were groupfarming dried lake for XP and the last act was act 3 or something, just really long ago), came back for blight on console (so basically no trade + gameplay impairing performance...) and was breezing through content.
Builds these days have become so absurdly powerful and its even more absurdly easy to share powerful builds which require like 0 gameplay (summLOLer - beat the game on 5C investement LEL). Its not surprising at all. If he could write down a useful guide for crafting and league starting/efficient gameplay, that would be impressive because thats where some of the deeper knowledge is located and actually makes a significant difference. Beating T16 on copycat builds is not surprising, even if he did it as a new player after 1 week. |

I kinda' doubt someone learned to farm efficiently, use proper loot filters, trading, and copy/pasting builds in only 3 weeks, without any friends.
First build is pretty much guaranteed to suck. |

Go on reddit, read stuff, google stuff, play 6 hours a day. Yeah, no problem they could have achieved this if they have played ARPGs before.
Given that I can hit lvl 91 in 2-3 days from scratch now, a newbie doing it in 3 weeks is not unforseen at all.. Last edited by Gescom#1904 on Apr 14, 2020, 5:58:25 PM

" not super hard, but way back in 2012-2013 having 100k dps was insane mirror worthy set up, it was a big deal when a dude did dual wield ele-cleave dual boss maze map, which I think back then was only level 68 since maps started at level 60 originally. Atziri wasn't even out at the time, the game has changed a lot over the years. R.I.P. my beloved P.o.E.

if this was years ago when there were less players (harder to tradescum) and you couldn't comfortably reach endgame with the stick you find on twilight strand, i might doubt him. doesn't sound so unbelievable nowadays though.

biggest of mistakes are these new T16 maps.
about gear and currency. i saw ppl on trade chat standart league with 650 golden oils, and 1700ex. i have been playing PoE for almost 5 years and i have 7 full gear char to play and kill ne thing in game, and 28ex in stash. in 5 years i droped 1 mirror, and maybe 40ex. in many occasions while i posted in trade chat to buy 2 or 3 ex, i had someone asking me:"for chaos or real money?". so i start to imagine how u can get 630 golden oils or 1700 ex in stash. just make me laugh laudly when u say... TRADING ok ? and i will laugh lauder if u say LUCK. and ill remind you, RNG rules, it is not luck. for 1700 ex or 600 golden oils, no hell it is not luck !!! yea ... it is exactly like that: 1-chose ur build on youtube. 2-buy ur currency with mastercard. 3-creat the char. iam godly !!!! and alot of us know that, also we keep lying to our selfs. no problem it is just a game. and many in this game pay to win. and as many of you see, things slowly are going out of control, mass copy gear, half of it is duped, real money for currency, and 3 week player doing T16. i realy didnt plan to replay this post, after i read some strange coments about (some1 give him the gear) and mimimimi bla bla bla lero lero .... something like that... and am asking the holy fucking mother of god !!!! who in all server gona give you a gear to slam T16 map???? WHO ????? Last edited by KaiserBlade42#7840 on Apr 14, 2020, 10:10:57 PM

" Lets be honest here... I've probably blown up 100ex worth of core build items with vaal orbs... It's not unreasonable to give newbies handouts. Especially now that I've basically quit farming due to reaching my challenge goal. Last edited by Lochaven#5815 on Apr 14, 2020, 10:15:54 PM
