A bunch of people bought Wolcen, numbers were great (sales), and then its drifted lower over time, lessening their sever strain, and likely enabling them to scale back and save money on infrastructure. Now they can work on patching, mtx, and perhaps small live service stuff. They dont have to maintain as hard as PoE does because they got their revenue on the front end. Personally I got a refund on Wolcen, I have grown to despise companies releasing a game severely unfinished and misleading information up to release.
Game had a ton of potential, unfortunately I don't see them being able to make any kind of come back after the mess they had. |

Probably the worst full release I have seen in a long time. I didn't refund, but I should have. The release was a disgrace imo, they shipped a pre beta game as full release.

(Didnt have any progression or character bugs) Online was a mess, but offline saved it from total failure. Tbh No Mans Sky and Fallout 76 were way worse. " I have no interest in playing it offline. And even though offline was working fine, the issues this game has are ridiculous. And then we aren't even talking about their sheer incompetence when it comes to balance. When they announced they were gonna push 1 patch per week I quit. Maybe in a year or 2 it will be somewhat decent enough to retry it. |
