''This game will dethrone PoE''

RMT guilds and whales bragging about their Headhunter builds while the entire game goes to garbage because of horrible balancing is finally a thing of the past.

I personally think poe died with 3.9 and I am ecstatic that a new arpg is out that I can play instead of ever touching this [Removed by Support] You made your bed now you have to lie in it :D

How can you whine about balance in Path of Exile in the same post as talking about Wolcen is beyond my comprehension. I find it extremely entertaining, and idiotic to use words from the quote, when Wolcen is currently completely broken when it comes to skill or skill tree balance.

"an arpg with well-implemented pve co-op and pvp"

in my humble opinion PoE shifted from the arpg genre towards the pachinko genre.

from someone who still play and rotate between Torchlight 2 (modded), Titan Quest (new expansions) & Grim Dawn (picked recently since i was waiting for a definitive edition).

i hope PoE 2 will fix something, but i have learned to not have high expectations in the gaming industry.

Well... no.

As I said, when it comes to performance it is pretty easy to outdo PoE. And that´s the main culprit. Performance. PoE is not the best game for coop, I give you that. But if the games´ performance was fine it would be alright at least. You could do daily mission rotas, delve together and so on. But for most people that doesn´t work because party play sucks due to performance. But onbce again, performance isn´t enough. You need content and an interesting item-system above everything else.

And I know you are gonna reply "oh yeah but I mean quests for party-play and pve-content that is designed around co-op". First of all, that would be an MMORPG and not an ARPG - go play WOW if you are looking for raids. And second, man, if you wanna "destroy" someones argument, better make an argument yourself. "Well-implemented pve co-op" isn´t really specific and can mean basically anything and by and large includes exactly the things I mentioned. So you didn´t destroy my argument but rather confirmed it. Thanks.

Considering PvP. The real predecessor of PoE, Diablo 2, is often hailed for it´s interesting pvp system. But in reality it was simply "killing each others characters in the Blood Moor, decked out in botted or duped gear". And only a very small portion of players actually engaged in pvp anyways, both in softcore and hardcore. Like, people don´t play an ARPG for PvP. They might play PvP if it so happens to exist in their ARPG and feels at least okayish. But the existence or nonexistence of PvP doesn´t draw people to an ARPG. PvE content, itemization, economy and mechanics do. If people are hot for PvP they would play League or Dota or CS:Go or some other serious PvP game that is decided by playerskill and not by (ingame) wealth.

So, no. Not destroyed. Like, not at all.
Hold on to yer shite load o´ bloody barnacles on me arse-cockles, me hearty!

well... no.

you just put a lot of words and examples in my mouth i never said and argued yourself.

PoE doens't have PvE co-op content and neither PvP.

If you are a solo player PoE is perfect for you.
If you have friends? absolutely fugging not.
PoE content is addictive that rely on the novelty dopamine reward mechanism,
it is far from being fun. But the times i played PoE i barely interacted with my friends because of how PoE is designed.
All this beautiful broken addictive content that ggg vomit every 3 month can't stand the fun of playing something crappy with your friends.

An arpg with well implemented pve co-op and pvp can easily dethrone poe.
You can put whaterver argument in my mouth you want, but it is a fact that PoE doesn't have this.
If you want to farm maps for ccy with a carry/ aurabot/ curse bot w/e then PoE is absolutely fun with friends.

If you want to engage in boss farming then going solo is the way.

PVP? Not interested but I've heard a lot of good things about wolcen's pvp /s

Is wolcen the better game now? Fuck no, it's all show and no substance.
Will it be in 2-3 years of constant polish (which I doubt)? Still not, but maybe it will have more appeal than it does now.

Wishful thinking with unsubstantiated claims. There are games that tried that and they just changed category, from arpg to just a simple mmo. What you describe can be close to lost ark for example and that game failed on the arpg aspect and games like that on past that tried thes same tactics also failed

GGG tried the 6 month cycle the 4 month cycle even the weekly cycle but what worked is the 3 month cycle along with all its bugs and glory.Last time i checked GGG had 180 employess. You would need a company and a vision more than that to be able to compete with poe.The scope and where GGG relys on is individuality on an mmo place and no the other way around which seems to be the case with other games.

Thats why D4 is DOA.Wolcen if it doesnt get the poe 3 month cycle is also dead in just a month and just a play once and forget it.

You just cant dethrone PoE unless they want themselves to do a suicidal move. You must be able to see what i am saying if you drew yourself outside of the bubble and see why PoE prevails in this categories.Poe is Arpg lightning in a bottle. And trust me my position is objective the hell enough as i played all arpgs to a great extent.

Ever wondered why the good arpgs like grim dawn arent competitive to poe? What makes Poe so special that each one of each playerbase come back every 3 months for month or over?Scope.Vision.Execution even if faulty at times that made it to shine. Its the king of arpgs right now and you need more than what you describe to dethrone it.And that cant happen in a day.Or even years
Bye bye desync!
