Wolcen is a fine distraction and time-killer during PoE downtime. I do not really have to worry about spending money on games and I certainly do not feel buyer's regret about games worth few tenths of $. I might be sorry for buying 4K TV or a car but certainly not $40 game.

I always intended to play offline so the fact you could not play Wolcen online for 3 or 4 days after release did not impact me. However, it does not mean it was not a big blunder on their side to release game in such state.

It is very likely I will get my character decently into end-game, maybe even complete it, try few different builds on the same character and forget about the game in few weeks or a month. If they decided to drop major content update I might check it again but there are too many great games coming up and there is always PoE just few months/weeks aways from new content batch so I doubt I will have motivation to return to Wolcen at all.

I'm a different person, but look at my supporter badges and tell me I'm too poor to buy Wolcen.

I've seen a lot of hype for it lately and simply cannot justify a purchase because all the bugs (and there are SO many bugs, it's not just that online was disabled for 2 days) make it look like an absolute shitfest.

Personally, although I only do my actual gameplay solo, I love online trade in ARPGs. Diablo 2 and PoE are both better with trade. So I'd be playing online.

You know what Wolcen's had since launch? Item duping and infinite gold exploits.

Infinite gold wouldn't sound so bad in Diablo 2 (oh no, now you can gamble more, that's soooo efficient 9_9), but in Wolcen, as I guess you know by now, gold lets you do anything. You can buy spells in order to sell spells in order to level up your spells to max level. Shops you find also can have unique items. It seems like if Cadiro Perandus was still a mechanic in this game, but everyone was walking around with infinite perandus coins at all times. Not exactly balanced.

Now, it's possible that Wolcen will reset the online economy. They certainly SHOULD do that, since they're finally fixing these two exploits. But they haven't announced it, which means that for now, the online economy should be considered permanently broken, because so many people have performed this exploit already that you should expect the majority of people to just be walking around with at least a trillion gold.

And finally... with the patch notes, they announced that their servers only allow them to deploy one patch weekly. There is no such thing as a hotfix in Wolcen, an online game. How. Why. Whatever servers they have found themselves are possibly the dumbest thing the devs have done period. People can make coding mistakes, sure. But not being able to fix them for a whole week is what will really be the downfall of this absolute garbage.

Yes, you are a different person so why bother quoting me clearly pointing my post to a specific person?

Anyway, I'm not defending Wolcen and its flaws. I just do not think 3 lines in a capital letters makes a sound argument.

Outside of that, I bought Wolcen with a very clear vision to play myself, online or offline, see how it is and go back to PoE once new challenge league is released. I do not care about item duping or gold exploits because I will not use those exploits in an ARPG--why would I bypass the sole reason to play ARPG by using exploits...? Again, I not defending Wolcen on this and it is disgrace that a game with aspiration to build a community around online portion of its game can have these types of exploits and not fix them week after they were discovered.

In hindsight, these games still lack the polish of a Blizzard title. D3 really is near perfect, despite the botched storyline and Cain’s death.

I agree with this 100%. But there is no game in sight that clearly has this either.
