You don't need premium stash tabs or 3rd party software to list stuff on the trade sites, where do people get this rubbish from?

1) Tell them to activate the Item Filter that is included with the game. Afaik it's not enabled by default for some dumb reason.
2) They said they liked games that they could try before they buy... Path of Exile is a good example of a game that lets you do exactly that. 3) A decade ago before all the Free 2 Play bullshit, we had demos and trials and in some rare cases they would contain a mini-campaign that's a prequel to the full version game. The fanboyism is strong in this one. Everything is ofcourse relative and the point OP made was that PoE has, *gasp*, changed over the years! Ofcourse this is hard to come to terms with for people clinging to "manifestos" and treating a computer game more like a religion.
Let's be clear, I enjoy the game, and I have bought several tabs with no complaints, but the elephant is real. If I told a friend "hey, come play PoE, you don't have to spend a dime", that would be quite deceptive and I'm sure he or she would comment on that pretty soon. PoE is free to play - but pay to win, and pay to fully take part of. |
