POE 2 have controller support for PC?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rdjv3qtwk4

Around the end of this video (9 minutes+) the guy says he spoke to Chris about controller support and so on, and Chris stated it's basically just a matter of time for them to smooth out the details of implementing controller support for the PC client.

The big takeaway in what he says is that Chris stated the PC client already has controller support built into it, it just isn't polished yet. This video was posted on June 13th 2020, so unless info about GGG declining controller support was heard very recently I think it may outdated (thankfully!).

I noticed my hand cramping pretty easily lately while playing PoE (and it seems to only occur with PoE...) and it immediately felt better after taking a day's break and playing some other games on controller. The issue now is I don't want it to return, so... Yeah. I'm hoping they implement it soon. I'd play on PS4 but that hardware is so old by now that I feel the game hardly runs on it at all. Let's hope we get controller support before PS5 releases...
i have the same thing. not wanting to return to the game due to no native controller support.
Same here i tried to play heist but cant due to pain, ill have to go back to grim dawn until better support for poe pc controllers.

That's exactly my situation. I love both games, but I'm down to only playing Grim Dawn because it offers controller support.
Sorry for the necroposting but I was looking for controller support and found this post in Google.

I guess this means still no controller support?

It is really unacceptable nowadays. It's an accessibility feature very much needed. Hopefully, they will consider it.
GGG did try to tailor some functions to specific platforms. One of those functions is trade system. By the blessing of K&M PC PoE got the most detailed api and trade system allowing us to search exactly for what we want, downside of which is there is no way to make it work with controller.

Why not let us fight with controller then? Sometimes no support is much easier way out than partial support due to amount of anger how bad partially implemented functionality is despite it being exactly what some of us asked for.
Stopped playing the game because of lack of gamepad support.
I can't game for hours and hours on mouse and keyboard, it's not healthy.

I regularly google about this and never seem to find any official statement or update on the matter.
Unfortunately there is no controller support yet. I will be another player who will stop playing because POE on keybord causes pain.

There is no reason for the "PC community" to interfere to be honest. It isn't like they would lose mouse/keyboard controls if the controller setup was implemented here. It's 2020 and there is the CVAA, and PoE is not exempt from it. Controller configuration is an accessibility feature, nothing more. I'm not exactly sure what players have against it since they don't lose anything from it being implmented.

The entire control scheme is different which means enemies have to be balanced around that control scheme on the console version along with (unless they changed something) console only having 4 flask slots which the console version also accounts for in balance.

The thing is the console and pc versions are very different from each other in control and balance so if they wet to implement the control they'd need to apply the same rebalance to the pc version else the controllers would not optimal but also severely gimped in game play, not to mention you can't have 5 flasks equipped which means there'd need to be 2 different versions of the pc game just to have one balanced for controllers and one not.

This is an utter lie and no, enemies, systems, potions and everything is exactly the same on PS4. You may be misinformed or just a console/controller hater. Either way, do not spread wrong information.

And no, they never said controller support is never coming. In fact they stated last summer that controller support might be coming sooner or later.

What is your problem? Absolutely nothing will be affected by adding a new accessibility option such as controller support. I understand you enjoy being a mouseclicker but some people really need this to be implemented in order to enjoy the game. They have done it on PS4 and Xbox and it can be easily done on PC.

nope. if you have currency autohoover functionality (on consoles) drop rates would have to be lower to accomodate for that. that's not neccessary in different economies though.

but in the same economy? no.

also, imo consoles don't have all skills the pc version has.

not true. except ggg lets you navigate the cursor with your controller's thumbstick.
