POE 2 have controller support for PC?
" The console version has all skills the only thing thats different is some density in blight and one syndicate mission per map. I certainly dont swim in currency with Click to collect on controller. And generally i find controller gameplay slower then mouse keyboard. |

" According to Valve: "Skating and racing games were at the top position, with over 90% of gamers using controllers to play." Guess your friends are rare cases. |

Yeah, it is a more laidback version of the competitive KB+M. I work 12 hours a day, i do not have time to play that competitively. Controller is just so ergonomic, you cant even feel it.

" currency/splinter drops get adjusted on console, problems only occur if you got both in one game and pc people also want to auto pickup. i never played console, how do you do tornado shot where you have to aim shortly behind enemies for max efficiency? how do you place totems beside bosses while hiding behind a rock or something? how do you place storm calls on enemies you wanna kill first? cycle through the list of enemies until some are highlighted? how do you place deathmark on some strategic enemies like the bosses who exchange the ring which signs that they can be damaged (phylacteral link)? age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" On a short google search i cant see anywhere confirmed that says currency drops/splinters are different on console. Chris has stated that at some point in the distant future they want one poe client that will then get pushed to all platforms. Tornado shot auto targets behind enemies, which doesnt seem to work well for pierce. the other skills i havent played enough to comment, (played rf totems when i started but thats over 4 yrs ago). Did notice deathmark was clumsy and swapped it for minion damage on my herald of purity build. Some things suck like leapslam autotargets which is handy till you want to use it to escape something then it gets u killed. Last edited by BearishHarbor58#8075 on Jul 21, 2021, 6:06:17 PM

" it does make sense for devs to let players choose which input method they use for individual skills. i can imagine cyclone being the perfect skill for controllers. but eventually players will always choose the better (more rewarding) option and bots will go for the input that makes them the least work for currency pickups. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

I'd like to see controller support for PoE 2, and even PoE on PC.
Diablo III has shown me how a good controller implementation can work, and at this point, I'll only show interest in future ARPGs with controller support. I want the option to be able to either sit on my couch with a controller, or be in-front of my computer with a keyboard and mouse. Lack of controller support on PC prevents me from getting back into the game. It's not even that I can't use keyboard and mouse, it's that I don't want to use keyboard and mouse for extended sessions.
I care about my wrist and controllers are just significantly more ergonomic. So as much as I want to play PoE, I just don't. And no, I'm not going to stick to 30 minute to one hour sessions on PoE, because that's not a fun way to play this game. |

" You're statement makes zero sense whatsoever, as there are plenty of point and click games out there that still support controller. Lost Ark, Van Helsing, Victor Vran, Torchlight being just a couple of examples example of this. Diablo 4 will will be point and click, and will support controller from day one. This statement is completely invalid as one does not change or affect the other, [Removed by Support]. Last edited by Lisa_GGG#0000 on Jan 6, 2022, 7:45:20 PM

" yes, there are games that support both input types. but that is only possible cause developers dragged down the player skills needed to suit the inferior input method: which is "pressing buttons" (which make me feel like an ape on some minor intelligence tests instead of being a skilled gamer). successive and fast positioning of the mouse on individual points of the screen can't be done with a controller. if you got mouse positioning skills you can't use them in the games you mentioned cause there will be no option for it for compatibility purposes. poe also enabled just a subset of skill gems for consoles: those which don't need fast and precise positioning. and they're unlikely to introduce new skills who do so if they got plans to cripple their game even further. -- "fast pressing buttons" is just boring, there is some use for that in racing/flight but using a controller in a arpg is downgrading it to a jump'n run. poe has been one of the last games that catered for pc players and it's just sad that they leave us. picking up stacks of currency, done in preparation for console compatibility, already devalued all the feeling of being rewarded. i couldn't say how many currency i picked up in a instance cause i'm not a machine who does internal sums of numbers i see. but yeah, all good things come to an end, nothing lasts forever. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
